Nach etlichen Stunden Flug endlich in Kapstadt angekommen... erst vom Taxifahrer abgezockt worden (da hätten wir besser vorbereitet sein können) und dann ist das Guesthouse verwaist. Auf klingeln und Anrufe reagiert niemand. Nun hieß es kühlen Kopf bewahren und schnell ne Bleibe finden. Hat zum Glück geklappt und waren dann im Signature Lux Waterfront. Da war es richtig gut und günstiger. Also auch das erhöhte Taxigeld wieder raus.

Das Guesthouse ist nur bedingt empfehlenswert!

Der kostenpflichtige Parkplatz (im Internet kostenlos angeboten), direkt vor der Zimmertür lässt Motel-Atmosphäre aufkommen. Ich reise seit über 15 Jahren nach Kapstadt und habe bisher in keinem Guesthouse erlebt, dass sich die Besitzer nicht herzlich um die Gäste bemühen. Hier im 40 Winks zum ersten Mal. Das Frühstück entspricht leider genau den Ankündigungen auf der Website und ist kaum genießbar, zum Beispiel: billigster Scheiblettenkäse in Folie verpackt. Der Pool direkt neben dem Parkplatz ist ok, allerdings ist die Atmosphäre so unentspannt, dass man sich dort nicht gerne aufhält. Fazit: Nur zum Übernachten ok. Für Reisende, die gerne mal einen Tipp oder Unterstützung für ihre Freizeitgestaltung benötigen, ungeeignet.

Nicht empfehlenswertes Guesthouse!!!

Wir waren 8 Freunde, die 6 Zimmer gemietet haben. 2 davon sind schön, der Rest eine Katastrophe. Das Personal ist super nett, aber die Chefin unmöglich. Hat sich nicht vorgestellt und hat Korkgeld für eigene Flaschen verlangt, das Parken innerhalb des Guesthouses kostet pro Tag 80 Rand extra(Frechheit der Betrag), in der Ausschreibung stand free parking. Das Frühstück ist sehr mager für ein Luxus Guesthouse!!!
