The waterfront location and ocean view was beautiful. We were upgraded to a bigger room with an excellent view and hot tub in the room, which had been newly rennovated. The staff was friendly. Location of the hotel was good.

This is NOT a good place for anyone with disabilities.I contacted in advance and was assured it was all good ... ramp ...elevator. But Desk is on 5 floor And elevator only goes from 1 to 4. I was told to drive down a scary hill and I would find the ramp and elevator to 2nd floor. We'll there is a ramp but no railing on the stairs which are not overly steep. I walk short distances with a cane. BUT I was not told my room was the FARTHEST from the elevator. SO I should have used my mobility scooter. SO I did second time BUT no automatic door ... so left to fight with opening a door that requires two hands.. HOW am I to drive my scooter??? AND the elevator is SUPER SMALL. My scooter is small and featured as able to turn in very small space. WELL I could not get out of the elevator. I needed to back very straight and no room to get aligned. I fought with the door which closed 6 times. SCARY!!! Then there is the lack of water pressure. Took 10 min to fill tub half way!!! 2ND day I showered and had difficulty getting shampoo out of my hair.AND 2 huge red splotches on the carpet near the bathroom door...thankfully too bright for blood but gross. ALL that said the bed was comfy. The breakfast was mediocre pancakes, squished bread for the toaster which only toasted one side. Scrambled eggs which are typical of buffet scramble. Yes the view was incredible. Would I stay here again? NOPE.

The Anchor Inn location worked well for us for the 2 nights we spent in Campbell River. We chose an ocean front room but it hovered just over the front roof top. It was fine, but if staying again, I’d request to stay on the top floor even if the cost was a bit more. The rooms were good and clean. The highlight of the hotel was the dining room. We had a good simple breakfast included but you could choose to receive 30% off any menu item. The dining room staff and view from the restaurant was the highlight of our stay.

We got in pretty late (just before midnight). Check in was pretty quick (I had already checked in online), got to the room and the bathroom (specifically the toilet) was not clean…. Pretty gross in fact (see pics). I called the front desk to ask about a different room…none available. I then asked if there was anyone who could come clean this toilet….. no sorry no one available. I then asked if there was any cleaning products that I could use to please clean this very dirty toilet for my son and I …….no sorry no cleaning products of any kind are available. I actually asked if we should clean the toilet with water and their facecloths (I was pretty salty at this point and I was truthfully being sarcastic) to which the gentleman replied, “I guess so”. So that’s what I did. Like I said, see pics There was also a balcony with a very pretty view. When I went to open the door the screen portion of the door fell down as it was just leaning up against the outside door. Good grief. I didn’t stay out there very long anyhow as I learned right below that patio is where the staff go for their smoke breaks which was often, and pretty smelly, especially for a non smoking facility. I was there with my sons baseball team, loved Campbell River, but you will never ever catch myself or anyone from a baseball team from Kelowna anywhere near the Anchor Inn. Like ever. Also the water cooler in the lobby has visible mildew on it. I’m actually embarrassed for this place

Was disappointed with price. Booked two nights and was charged two different prices. First night cheaper than second night would not have accepted price if paying when booked but paid at hotel so they told us that the rate can change daily. Not a fair deal after being quoted one price for two nights and then being charged higher rate for second night and having reserved same room. Was medical appointments and we are seniors on a tight budget. Very disappointing as we have booked with hotels.com for many years.

The property is great with the ocean view. The waitress is very friendly and the only thing is the breakfast had changed. Used to be a great breakfast with bacon and sausage but now only scrambled eggs, pancakes and hash browns for the confidential breakfast. Other than that is great.

Property was ok. Comfortable beds. Good location. Dog friendly but nowhere on property for the dogs to relieve themselves. Had to walk a ways to get a patch of grass. Issues checking in. Others were waiting for an hour. Had to wait on certain staff to show up to work for check in to be allowed. First time using the microwave, lost all power to our room. Took a while for staff to come help as they seemed to be understaffed and then wanted us to come back and forth to the front desk as they didn’t have staff to cover. The journey to front desk is annoying as it’s in a separate building. Not ideal. Especially with room issues they should have been more accommodating and helpful. We did eventually get switched to another room however the ramp to get to the door was directly in front of our balcony and we were on the first floor. Had to keep curtains completely shut for any privacy at all so totally defeated the purpose of booking waterfront hotel. No compensation was offered for the inconvience of the room issues and then giving us a room that was sub par for what we paid for. Would have spoke to a manager but like I said, staff not very helpful and nobody else was available to help. Will not be back. Breakfast was lovely and our waitress was a doll.

The two bedroom room was fantastic. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was excellent as well. The only downside was that the hot tub was not working, and there was no mention of this beforehand. Other than that, we were very pleased with our stay!

Best hotel experience is here!

Ocean front, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. I will always stay here eventhough there is no elevator to the higher floors. It is a walk to the lower levels with a lot of stairs but the view and room and everything else is amazing. It was quiet, so calming, always had park. A automatic door would be nice to come into the hotel if ur hands are full but minor. Lobby is relaxing clean and beautiful. Food is amazing and judy rocks! Also the Thai coconut spa downstairs is to die for

Ocean view was beautiful. Noise easily carried through from adjacent room. Breakfast was not as advertised. The included breakfast was a very minimal buffet with no included protein. Patio door on ground floor did not lock. The room had an unpleasant order.
