The receptionist was rude and I had to wait over an hour just to check in, the room had strong cleaning chemical odour and the heat was not working. From the reception to the lift you will have to physically lift your heavy suitcase or baggage as they don’t have flat surface that takes you to the lift.

This hotel is advertised as four stars, but unfortunately my experience was far from that standard. Future guests should be aware of several issues before booking. Cleanliness was a recurring concern — I found hair on the towels, mold in the bathroom, and dirty communal areas. The shower drain in my room was clogged and remained so even after I reported it. The bed had no proper frame, squeaked and shifted constantly, and the fridge provided neither cooling nor complimentary water. There was also no kettle available, which made even a simple cup of tea impossible. Service was equally disappointing. The reception staff were curt and unhelpful, pointing vaguely in the direction of rooms instead of guiding guests — which can mean wandering through multiple floors or blocks with luggage. Requests for assistance were met with indifference. Breakfast options were extremely limited, not what you would expect from a four-star property. Despite being marketed as non-smoking, the balcony doors are not airtight, so smoke from neighboring rooms easily drifts in. Overall, while the hotel may look appealing on the surface, the reality is poor maintenance, subpar service, and a lack of basic amenities. I would advise future guests to manage expectations or consider alternative accommodation if they are seeking a true four-star experience.

⭐☆☆☆☆ A deeply disappointing experience—rudeness and disregard from staff I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay was so upsetting I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I arrived, the staff were dismissive and downright rude. I wasn’t greeted with warmth or professionalism—instead, I was made to feel like a burden. The atmosphere lacked any sense of hospitality, and my concerns were brushed aside without care. What should have been a relaxing escape turned into a stressful, disheartening experience. I left feeling humiliated and emotionally drained. I expected better from a property with this reputation. If you value kindness, respect, and basic courtesy, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We loved our stay at Ona Palmira Paguera! The staff were wonderful - friendly and helpful. Flavia suggested some great restaurants for us to go to. The hotel is beautiful with 2 pools and lots of amenities. The breakfast in the morning was very well stocked and staffed. The food was delicious. Our room was a bit dated, I think we may have been in an older building, but it was still nice. The A/C wasn't working great, but we managed. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. It was a wonderful place to stay for our quick holiday and we will be back again someday!

Poor experience

To start, we were greeted by Flavia, she was fantastic and I old us about the best places to eat nearby and so on. We stayed for 3 nights. A common theme for this hotel is everything is behind a paywall. For instance, if you want to use the sauna or Jacuzzi i think it’s €7 per hour. The pool closes at 6 pm which I found to be way too early (sunset is at 8:30). One of the worst experiences was talking to a member of the customer service, I believe his name was Fabio. Fabio was very rude and almost yelled at us when we asked them to use the sauna after 6. I have never felt more uncomfortable or upset while staying at a hotel that is supposed to be 4 stars. Also the towels are also to be rented fyi. In terms of condition, the hotel is very very old. You could tell from the room.

I didn't like this hotel at all. There are so many points, but I will only list the most important ones now. First of all, nobody greets you when you walk past (staff). They all come across as arrogant and lacking in joie de vivre. The food is the same every day with minimal variety in the evening, if you want to get snacks upstairs at the reception, they take 40 minutes or longer to bring the food. On arrival no one accompanied us to our room and we were not told what was in the hotel. Our room was also never fully cleaned, something was always forgotten. During the 2 weeks I was there, our room was only cleaned thoroughly and nicely once and that was by a small dark skinned woman, much love to you! I have traveled many times and I have never experienced anything like this. In my opinion, this hotel deserves 3 stars at most.

NOT 4 star! 3 star at very best! A couple of Reception staff ( short guy with Muscles) and dark haired lady very very rude, unfriendly and really unhelpful . One lady in bar staff ( same dark haired lady on reception) very rude , not interested in serving and not interested in being polite. Restaurant staff very nice, as were the cleaning staff.. Food was very good ! Room very basic, no coffee or tea making facilities. Expedia website says room safe is free, charged me 20 euros, website says swim up bar ! , This is completely closed.. No swim up bar, the bar is closed down. Cigarette ends around bottom pool area,not cleaned up over a few days.. No entertainment or music, the staff said there was none this season at all. Forget indoor swim pool this is closed for season and they charge yet again for jacuzzi.. Finally on leaving , we asked to store our suitcases , were told to put in an old restaurant, with everyone else’s , this is open to everyone in the hotel , anything could have been stolen! A Promised shower room downstairs before leaving, tried to charge me £4 euro per towel ! Reception Asked would I stay here again ? Definitely a resounding NO! There are really nice 4 star hotels in Paguera, we had to visit in the evenings for entertainment( Free) .. and much better service and friendliness, visited Hotel Valentin(4 star) and HSM linda(3 star) both wiped the floor with Ona Palmira. I would NOT stay here again..
