Furniture and appliances grossly outdated and don't come anywhere close to what online photos showed. Toaster didn't work. Dishwasher was disgusting and is decades old. Bathroom sink was clogged and wouldn't drain water. Also we mentioned we only needed one night instead of the two nights due to a family emergency, and would check out prior to 11, which we did. They definitely had no concern in helping or being understanding. They wouldn't allow us to stay our one night without paying for the second night even though we said we couldn't stay a second night. Tried asking for a refund when we checked out at 9am and turned in keys to prove we definitely had to leave and management said we had to take it up with Expedia, which we did. But Expedia has to have villas by the sea resort approve a refund which they refused to do. The price per night does not reflect the condition in which the place is. If we were staying for a longer period of time we wouldn't have even been able to. That's how terrible the place was.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Our unit was quite dated and the bathroom was in pretty poor condition. It was usable but it has suffered a lot of wear and tear. The staff was helpful and we loved the easy walk to driftwood beach and the pool area was very nice.

Bad weekend.!!

Was not informed u needed reservations for lunch or dinner. No breakfast was available. The cafe was being remodel. Sitting at the bar alone they only taked to richer couples and made me fill bad by not have another person with me. My husband past a way 4 yrs ago and this was my first solo vacation. Will not go back. I cried my hole stay.

We stayed at the Villas by the Sea last year and saw so many updates this trip. The boardwalks, adirondack chairs, lighting updates, the new restaurant, "Jekyll & Tide", etc., really added to this lovely, comfortable and friendly place to stay. On our way home, we talked about coming back next year!

We enjoyed our stay at Villas by Sea. The ground floor unit was at great location , ease of parking , back patio steps from boardwalk and also great ore of the water. Peaceful stay. We rented bikes and bikes around town, as well as enjoying other things Jekyll has to offer.

Great place to stay, very quiet. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. Disappointment that we had to go so far to get to the actual beach. Hope they rebuild the access soon. The condition of the electric and plumbing could use an update. Everything works but is old. Would stay here again.

The Villa we rented through Expedia was peaceful and roomy enough for two people. These are individually owned villas/condos and so each one will be decorated differently and this one needed a new paint job but it had everything we needed for our two night stay. It was also within walking distance to the beach and the staff were outstanding and friendly and kind.
