Got a great deal on Wotif so we stayed here for two nights recently. We were upgraded to a king suite so that was a real plus. It was lateish when we checked in so we decided to have dinner in the dining room. Staff were very friendly but we began to think that we were wearing our Harry Potter invisibility cloaks when the three couples who were seated after us were all served before us. In the end we gave in and called over one of the wait staff to take our order. Food in the dining room is expensive but generally great quality and very well presented although my $44 fillet steak, ordered rare, when cut proved to be on the medium side of the medium rare spectrum. The waiter was very apologetic and offered to replace it with another cooked to order but that would have seen my wife having to wait for me, a notoriously slow eater, to finish my meal. I must say tho that the fillet was a really great cut of flavoursome, tender beef. It would have been phenomenal if it had been served rare! The rooms at Peppers are on the small side but are well appointed and the steam heaters are very quick and efficient. The bed was harder than I'm used to but beds are a very personal taste! Unfortunately, our room was not made up on the second day of our stay. When we asked at reception we were told that the room should have been made up. The receptionist was very apologetic and offered to go upstairs and make it up straight away but she was obviously on her own and we decided against it.

Booked 3 rooms in advance of our event and only 2 of the rooms were near each other. The air conditioner made horrendous noise all night so very little sleep. The buffet wasn't replenished often and had to wait up to 30 minutes for a coffee.

The main areas are quite nice, but this place is severely overpriced for what you get... the room is like a shoe box, i have had much better rooms in pubs and cost a third of the price.

The setting of the land is really remarkable; I wish there is walking track, a big sign on the street near the gate entrance..other wise keep up the good work.

Great restaurant and lounge area to have pre dinner drinks etc. Our particular room was a morton king wing room, number 219. The room was small, floor sloping which meant the bed also sloped and it was very uneven in patches, did not have a second bedside table or office table lamp for working , bathroom was small and there was no space to have your toiletry bag or a shower shelf for shampoos etc, and the only view we had was of the colorbond roof !
