Tired, grubby and terrible breakfast

This hotel has clearly aged terribly and the condition it is currently in is poor. The car parks are confusing and very uneven to walk in when dark - not a great start. Then check-in which was fine, but the walk to our room to a while and the smell of the building our room was in was disgusting. Across our stay it either smelled of rubbish, ciggarettes or cannabis - all very unpleasant. The room itself is spacious but very basic. The bedding just about fit on the bed, the bathroom door had clearly had a hole it in at one point and we had to call reception to request more towels. The towel that was finally brought to us had a huge make-up smear on it, so we had to ask for more. The spa is nice, but why set times for when peoplecan use it if they are not respected at all and people just do whatever they want. To make matters worse, I left my room key as a deposit for a padlock and on return they had given my key to someone else - so someone else could have access to my room and I had to go back to reception to get a new key. Breakfast was the most disappointing. Cereal, bread and 2 types of pastry does not make it continental. Extra cost for hot chocolate instead of tea or coffee - for what they charge for breakfast this was a disgrace and hugely frustrating. A total waste of money. Overall, while the hotel is comfortable it is very tired and needs a lot of investment. I would not stay there again.

Not relaxing at all.

We wanted a nice relaxing spa break, what we got was a very busy one, we struggled to park when we got there, the restaurant was fully booked so we had to go elsewhere for food, we also had to book a time slot to use the spa. We couldn’t sleep as the bed wasn’t comfy and the pillows were rock hard, the outdoor spa pool was overlooking the carpark and a newly build housing estate, for all these reasons we wouldn’t go back.

Stayed 3 nights and the first and the first two my mugs were not cleaned, there was residue left in the bottom and stain marks. Room was tired, but bathroom and shower were clearly newish and the shower was super lovely

Don't like Room 79

I have stayed at the Hotel a few times and will be back, my issues are with room 79, it rain most of the night and due to the canopy above the entrance to the room the noise kept me awake most of the night. I appreciate you cant control the weather but could potentially do something about the noise to the room when you have bad weather. Also TV did not work.

Another lovely stay here.

Room was super clean and spacious. Ned comfortable. Only negative was that the lights on the heaters glow so brightly that room wasnt dark and that kept waking me up. Seating area near bar is tired and could do with upholstering and the floor was littered and untidy, however the rest of the hotel was clean and tidy. We have stayed here several times and give it a thumbs up, its not 5 star but it isstill a lovely hotel and very good value for money.

Was a nice setting. Woman at reception had a bit of attitude the polish/romanian lady. Forgot the name but other than that everything was good. Defo come back again.
