The Positives:
I was really pleased to be allowed an early check-in, which made a big difference to my day.
The staff at reception and housekeeping were all very friendly and welcoming, which helped create a positive atmosphere.
The lobby area was lovely and relaxing, perfect for sitting with a coffee or just unwinding.
I especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area overlooking the beach – a peaceful spot that really stood out.
The breakfast room had a beautiful old-school charm that added character to the morning experience.
Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free, which I really appreciated.
The hotel also offers baggage storage after check-out, which was incredibly useful since my train wasn’t until the evening.
Room for Improvement:
Sadly, the rooms are quite dated and in need of refurbishment.
I noticed thick dust on the lighting fixtures, which wasn’t ideal, particularly as I have dust allergies.
The biggest issue for me was the temperature in the room. There’s no air conditioning, and no fan provided, so the room was unbearably hot, even with the window open. I barely slept, which really impacted my stay.
On top of that, I felt itchy in bed, possibly due to the mattress or mattress topper.
During breakfast, I was told to wait before helping myself, but after about 10 minutes I saw others going up, so I followed. It felt a bit disorganised and slightly awkward.
