Handy stopover location - close to rail station and near destination the next morning. I was aware there were no catering facilities so used the local Wetherspoons. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment but provides a basic service with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Lovely old building which deserves some TLC - good luck to the owners!

Parking was easy and we felt safe. Reception gave us a warm welcome. No restaurant or bar available which was a let-down but there were plenty of other eating establishments nearby.

Right in the heart of town with free parking behind the hotel. The gentleman who booked us in was extremely helpful.

Great value for money, staff are warm and welcoming. The entire hotel is being renovated on a shoestring. Fixtures and fittings are low quality. Most rooms have really good, clean showers. Ideal for workman or a crash pad for a night in Stourbridge. Brilliant central location

We booked a double room, but were 'upgraded' to a family room, which didn't include a bed big enough for 2 to sleep in - fine with me, though! The beds were comfortable, the room was quiet and it was clean. The carpet had slug trails on it and had seen better days. Given the price, it was as expected.

Do not stay at any cost

3 night stay - 1st night, no issues except the free car park isn’t big enough and it’s a real problem getting a space! Second night, people beeping their car horns in the car park at 4 o’clock in the morning and staff did not intervene! 3rd night, fire alarm set off by someone smoking in the room but instead of evacuating, the staff switched the alarm off before knowing if there was a fire or not! No health and safety or fire procedures followed and when I asked the staff what happened, they laughed! The bed was clean and the toilet was clean but there were layers of dust on the shelves, one of the towels had been used and the carpet hadn’t been cleaned! To be totally honest, If the staff were more empathetic and genuinely sorry, I wouldn’t have wrote this so my advice is to stay well clear!
