Problematic but otherwise fine.

It's a shame, because the room (and corridors) was big, and the bed comfy, but it smelt of smoke when I went in there, still there the next morning, and it put me off (but there were no other rooms available). Small details - it seems the receptionist forgot to give me the WiFi code which would have been handy but was too tired to go down to ask for it, and there was no plug in the wash basin. Worst was the hairdryer which I asked for - it was simply dangerous - it was heating up without the fan coming on - sometimes it would, and then other times not, till it seemed to give up the ghost. I reported it to the receptionist in the morning and told them they should throw it away and get a new one. Again, no others were available when I needed it. Location great. Price good.

Stayed here more for convenience than star rating. Basic but clean, staff friendly enough. Only downside was the noise being on the busy ringroad, making it difficult if you stay on the front and having a window open.

Really close to Wolves fc where i was going for a wedding reception and shopping areas. Had to change rooms as the tv didn't work and unfortunately opted for one on the lower ground floor, next to the car park, which could be noisy at times. Overall though a great budget hotel with very nice staff.

This former Travelodge was fine for my one night stay. The only drawback is that it is located at the junction of a four-way busy road junction. On a hot summer Saturday night with the window open, there was a lot of noise intrusion from the local 'petrol-heads' even at 4am! That said, that is probably not within the control of the establishment, and I would be happy to return on another occasion if I needed to stay in the area. Wolverhampton is very convenient for Birmingham by frequent public transport, and the accommodation was a cheaper alternative to staying in central Birmingham.
