Amazing in a surprising way!

Old time Charm with new age upgrades!! I loved it here!! The Building is original to the City, so it does have limitations, but the People, lay out and court yard make up for everything and more!! The first floor rooms have an indoor and outdoor exit- Super convenient for loading and unloading the car, but you can also walk inside all the way to the restaurant and front desk. Its designed to look like a hotel from an old western but the beds are SO comfy, walls, carpets and curtains and bedding are new. The bathroom sinks are WILD and come with a story that is amazing. Each room has a different color sink from the 60's, they remodeled around the wild sink colors!! Mine was Orange lol !!! Directly beside the wild sink is a brand new jacuzzi tub with all the good jets- this was in a standard budget friendly room, I was speechless with the extras!! Check in was a DREAM! Both The manager and desk lady were so friendly and talkative and helpful! I love that the Keys are real metal Keys still with a comically huge Key tag!! Love it! I don't have much need to go to Billings MT, but honestly I may plan a vacation soon around this Lodge just to relax and hang out with Fun down to earth people. Thank you Dude Ranch Lodge for the best secret surprise get away, hidden in plain sight.

My room bathroom was gross hair on floor and more in tub. The door had to be slammed to close. I work night audit and so i slept threw my alarms to wake up for check out... the manager was super rude once she woke me and ws not understanding that it was an honest mistake cuz i was echausted. Very rude in speaking to me

Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to sleep in a sauna. Thermostat in my room was showing 82 degrees and heat blasting. AC won’t turn on because it’s winter. Reception told me to just turn it off - which I did, and the heater is still pumping out 82 degree air. Hotel is not full, you would think there would be a functional room available but you would be wrong. Horrible experience.

The room is very outdated and I stayed here during a snow storm so the door to the outside leaked air so bad that with the heater set to 80 it was still chilly in the room... there were no towels in my room when I got there and then the guy who was cleaning the parking lot hit my car with the snow blower, left a smudge on the door and bumper when he could have just asked me to move my car a minute for him to clean the area.. carpet was dirty and I found sticky spot on end table, dirt and food in the corner next to the table... the place has that rustic look to it.. just wish they would update.. the giant holes in the jetted tub that doesn't work freaked me out a lot... bed was good though so if you are in a pinch and need a soft place to lay your head then this would work.

Good for solo travellers

For staying a night or two, this was the perfect place. 8 dollar breakfast, not too busy. Hot, good pressure shower. The rooms have exterior doors, so it was somewhat annoying to hear the car stereos and smokers outside, but otherwise, would stay here again.
