Service was satisfactory and our favourite was the lobby bar serving pintxos and reasonably priced drinks. However, noise levels from neighbouring tavernas as excessive on Friday and Saturday nights, and our sleep was disturbed.

Large, comfortable bedroom, very quiet. Hotel is tucked away in a quiet location but everything is a short walk away. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful, friendly staff. It would be helpful if the hotel posted precise instructions for getting from the airport to the hotel on its website. It's either taxi or bus but clearer instructions about catching the bus would have been welcome ie the number of the bus, where to get on, where to get off (the first stop after crossing the river with the Guggenheim), the price, how to pay. GPS is very helpful but knowing how to get close to the hotel in advance is very reassuring.

My recent stay at Mercure had its positives, but a persistent issue with room temperature impacted my overall experience. The hotel's central location and helpful staff were highlights. The room, including the bathroom, was clean and well-maintained. The sound proofing in the rooms is exceptional. However, the room was consistently hot, reaching 27°C every night, disrupting my sleep. Despite a room change and the staff's efforts, the heating-only setup remained. Opening the window for relief exposed me to noise from a nearby nightclub, which the windows did an amazing job at totally eliminating. Management provided a fan, which helped, but the lack of a cooling option in warm weather seemed like an oversight. Despite these challenges, Mercure has potential, especially during cooler months. In summary, a stay at Mercure might be more comfortable in cooler seasons, considering the temperature-related issues.

Good hotel in very central location, walking distance to all city centre attractions. Rooms are spacious and breakfast was very tasty. The gym is very poor if you are looking at working out.
