This motel was much better inside rooms than it looked from the front. Room was very nice for this price point, clean, and remodeled a few years ago. Comfortable bed and quiet in our room away from the road. Grounds look a bit run down. Owner PJ was a very gracious host. However, it was difficult to spot the location after dark, so we went past it the first time. Perhaps sign could be brighter.

When in Baton Rouge

Absolutely one of the best places I’ve stayed … Super clean, bed was incredibly comfortable.. The owner obviously is skilled as he did the renovations himself. I originally chose this place based on the fact that it has a full size refrigerator so I could store the frozen items I was carrying.. the price was fantastic as well. Mom& Pop motels are being swallowed by by corporate American… but this places remains a small beacon of honest work and authenticity.

We stayed here at the Budget Inn & Suites for the weekend in between our work week. PJ the owner was very nice and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, updated furniture, clean linen was provided - No complaints at all! It's a quiet area and close to an abundance of shops and restaurants. You won't be disappointed - Weekend stay here was comfortable and straight to the point.

Super clean room, has a lot of equipment: fan, fridge, stovetop, sink for dishes, tv, etc. I didn't like the feeling of bedding, so I took a blanket to sleep on it. And a neighbor from the next room was listening TV all the night.

I booked the room last minute and really late, they were extremely accommodating and courtesy with service. The surrounding area is a little sketchy but the inn itself is lit really well. The room had all the necessities I needed for a night stay, comfortable bed, fluffy and supportive pillows, AC unit that can be adjusted to liking, a small dining table, a microwave, a mid size refrigerator, and a clean bathroom.

Hidden Gem

This place is great! I stay here whenever I’m in town. The rooms are all freshly remodeled and very clean. I enjoy the outdoor area with charcoal grills (BYOC). The owner is super friendly and very helpful.

Good spot , super cheap, friendly staff

Don’t let the outside looks fool you!! The rooms look real good on the inside! A/C blows snowballs , tv channels worked great , full fridge and freezer worked well , the manager or maybe owner on site was awesome! He let us stay later than checkout time with no hassles! I’d stay again if I ever visit this town again no doubt about it.

The budget inn is a bit of a gem for the area. The property is safe and the owner and staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable with your time here. People planning on making an extended stay on a budget should seek this place out.
