There were long black hairs in the sink and the tub. The towels were stained. Breakfast was to start at 7:00 am but when we arrived at 7:39 most of the items had yet to be out. The muffins were stale & hard and we had to go through a number of yogurt containers to find some that were not stale dated. The restaurant employee was totally unconcerned. Never going to use this hotel again.

It was a nice stay. There was a musty odour in the bathroom. The entire also smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was deemed smoking free.

A little dated, but decent. I didn’t love that the wifi was an open unsecured connection, but was only there overnight to break up a long drive, it served its purpose overall.

It’s very bad experience. They gave first room its so stinky. Changed the room and second room’ washroom exhaust fan sounds to loud. In there carpet chemical smell is too strong. I spent 2 days i got sick

Housekeeping came in and made my bed and emptied the garbage everyday but didnt leave more coffee which i use as i am up two hours before the breakfast area opens. Everyday when i came back to the room my breakfast dishes were still there. By the time i checked out after 4 nights, there were a pile of dishes there. Breakfast was absolutely sub-par and i have never been hounded for a voucher at any other hotel i have stayed at. There wasnt any fresh fruit at all except for a bowl of fruit salad. No hot option on most days, and you had to pay extra and order it on the days there was. It was cheap I'll say that, but I certainly will choose someplace else for my next stay in Barrie.

This hotel isn’t bad for the price — we might stay here again — but it’s definitely not the kind of place you’d miss or feel eager to return to at any cost. The elevator really needs renovation; it shakes and doesn’t feel very safe, plus the stained floor mat gives a poor impression. The room itself was a good size with comfortable beds, but there was no climate control panel (really? In the 21st century?). The bathroom setup was inconvenient — turning on the light automatically activates a very loud, outdated fan, and if you turn it off, it’s completely dark. Housekeeping was also disappointing. We stayed for two nights, and although they replaced the towels, they didn’t clean the room or even make the beds. When I asked the front desk whether we needed to request cleaning, they said it would be done automatically — but it wasn’t. I’ve never experienced that before! Even for a 3-star hotel, it doesn’t have to feel like one at every turn. Breakfast was very simple and minimal. We paid $8 for eggs and bacon, but the portions were tiny, and the service in the breakfast room also matched that “3-star” vibe.
