Said "Pet Friendly" Online, But Wasn't

I had to go to Barrie, driving all the way from Cochrane, for an emergency with my dog. I booked a room here because everywhere online said it was pet friendly. When I walked in the lobby, there are big signs saying "NO PETS". I explained to the receptionist that I booked a room because it was advertised that the hotel was pet friendly, but she confirmed it wasn't. I asked to cancel my booking and get a refund and she said she couldn't process it on her end and I had to contact Hotels.com. Of course Hotels.com refuses to issue me a refund and tells me to contact the hotel, so I did, AGAIN. I've received no response and my credit card was charged for a stay/ room that I didn't and COULDN'T use. Shamelessly stole my money and the hotel is purposely ignoring me to avoid issuing me a refund. Beware that this hotel is NOT pet friendly even though it says it is! And they ignore you and send you in circles if you want your money back. Zero stars all around.

I was there to visit my son for the weekend so didn’t spend much time in the room. Bed was comfy. Towels were thick. Tv was bigger than most hotels I’ve stayed in. Bathtub needs to be redone as the porcelain is really bad making it VERY slippery

Absolutely dingy, and rub down. If it wasn't for the fact I needed a place to stay I would have been better off sleeping in my car. I wish I had taken photos to prove my point. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

The trim was falling off in the bathroom behind the door, the sink wouldnt drain properly and retained water for a long time, the floors felt damp and sticky, the rooms fridge wasnt stable and the door didnt close properly. The towels were stained a yellowish color. The water pressure was like a trickle. But otherwise good for the price and as expected. Would reccomenf and stay again.

Bed is VERY soft. Sheets are comfy but not butter touch. Pillows are loose and not comfortable. A/C was SO noisy. Turned off, but the machine kept making noise. Difficult to sleep with machine noise.. besides that, clean room and good amenities. Nice swimming pool size, delicious breakfast (which was included)

We checked in a little after 3pm, the lady at the desk was exceptionally nice. We enjoyed the patio parking access in our room. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean, the kids enjoyed swimming. The only thing I think should be changed is the specific shower head in the room we had, i think it may have been on its last leg. Overall we had a fantastic stay.

The sheets were stained, the face wash towel qas stained, there was a huge black hari wrapped around the body wash dispener, the mini fridge had a towel qrappsd around the top luece of glass. The towel had black mould all over it. Would not recommend to anyone. Disippointed i soent $300 for ONE NIGHT for that. Room should bave been discounted with all those issues abd the cleaning and majntenance staff made aware of how gross eveeyrhing was. W I spoke to the front desk she was lovelt bur not much she could do. Extremely unsatisfied and disappointed with the amount of money and the quality, cleanliness

The front desk staff member upon check in was very friendly, and the staff member working breakfast bar was just as kind. The room itself was decently clean and renovated. Thank you for the clean and friendly stay!
