Good value

We always stay here when visiting Barrie. It is good value for money. The room was clean but Lobby and elevator could have been cleaner. The breakfast was fine and the breakfast area clean.

Uncomfortable but you get what you pay for?

Motel not a Hotel. Called for early check in, immediately met with confrontation. Mattress in 408 was all springs, very uncomfortable. Generally clean but a lot of small areas were missed. Towels smelt very musty. Price was relatively cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

My experience was the worst I’ve ever had at a hotel it was the dirtiest, horrible breakfast option, should be called a snack not breakfast, we were only greeted by front desk one time the last day out of our 3 day stay on our last day there! House keeping was not friendly either! Had to change my own bed sheets at 3am because they were stained and beyond yellow. The next day when I asked housekeeping for new towels because they were crispy rigid stained and very yellow, I was told they are off white that’s why they are that yellow.. my intelligence has never been tested like that in my life and that if I have a problem I should speak to the supervisor! I just never felt so uncomfortable and not welcomed in a hotel before me and my bf got more stares then hello … management needs to do a better job at hiring overnight/day front desk staff! Only helpful guy was the guy on the first night of check in that actually brought me crispy white bed sheets so I can change them myself .. so it’s clear they have them just sitting on them! Will never return that’s for sure Oh forgot to mention came back last the last night to find out bathroom dripping in water from the vent

Location was good, pool was great for my granddaughter! Sheets were a little worn and had an off white colour as well as the towels in room and at the pool. At some point during the night odour of skunk thru out the room, some people checked in on the same floor was really bad! They had been sprayed, opened the door and the whole floor smelled , commented to the staff and they didn’t seem to care! Gave me a headache and eyes burning!

The property was nicely rennovated and the room was very comfortable. Staff were hit and miss for for friendliness and accessibility. The continental breakfast was not as nice as other Monte Carlo Inns, instant oats instead of a crockpot of real oatmeal, limited toppings, fruit salad was going bad. Staff were not present when breakfast opened at 7:00. When I asked someone in the kitchen well after 7:00 for hot water for oatmeal the person acted like I was a nuisance. The clientele was curious too. While I felt safe in my room, I didn't in the parking lot or sometimes in the hallway. I rarely leave reviews that aren't positive. However I feel this is an important experience to share.

Friendly staff, convenient parking, good room. Beside Highway 400 so noisy, however pulling blind down stopped most noise. Breakfast provided was minimal continental style.

The room was very clean and quiet . The only reasons we did not give 5 stars are : pillows - too hard and no selection or options . Ice machines - no ice and none were working . Water pressure in the shower was very low .
