Terrible Staff Experience

A fuse blew out in our room while we were getting ready to leave for dinner. Stan from reception came up and berated us saying we caused the fuse to blow because we do not know the voltage in Spain. We said the only thing plugged in was our mobile phone and the iron the front desk provided to us. He had such contempt it was palatable. I had to cut him off from speaking just to shut him up. Why on earth is someone who so clearly hates people in a customer service job!

Perfect hotel in a beautiful city

This is my fifth stay at Cram hotel. Check in and out are quick, the reception crew are welcoming and professional, the room is cleaned daily, and breakfast is plentiful. The location is close to all Barcelona highlights

Really helpful and pleasant staff! They made my stay great! Loved how clean the room was and the bed was super comfortable with crisp, white bedding. Great location centrally located and a short walk to the metro.

Nicely put together hotel, charming terrace with small pool. Good location. Two issues that were hard to overlook - absence of plug sockets by the bed to charge your phone is really poor design. And the bathroom door was glass and did not actually fill the frame. So very little privacy if you’re sharing.

I found this hotel to be very clean and had a new modern look. The staff was really friendly and helpful- the lady working on the rooftop bar was very joyful and full of energy. Nice to see staff who love their jobs and are genuinely happy when assisting customers.

Area was very convenient and walkable to all attractions. My wife and I walked throughout our entire stay. Dining options are endless. Check in and staff was very courteous and friendly. This is overall a nice property but failed in terms of customer service, particularly Stan the front desk guy. I couldn’t believe how rude he was given the amount I was paying. Also the facilites while stylish and nice could use a refresh- imagine ikea furniture that looks good but starts falling apart after a few years. A lot of scratches on mirrored furniture, hardware half screwed in, etc. Also they sent a very alarming email threatening to cancel my reservation if I hadn’t paid in advance for the room even though: 1) the reservation through Expedia clearly said “pay at the hotel” 2) no link was sent to me to pay via email though they said “if you don’t pay through the payment link sent to you through email your reservation will be cancelled. 3) it turns out my card had already been charged in full for the reservation. When I pointed out that this whole email created unnecessary panic for someone who is about to board an international flight without WiFi service — to think the reservation you made a month ago might be canceled when you arrive in the destination city — “Stan” replied super rudely and condescendingly. I would not stay here nor recommend sraying here to others.
