The Worst Hotel Experience of Our Lives — Traveler Beware
This was, without question, the worst hotel experience we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything went wrong.
First, the manager claimed that we did not have a reservation, even though we had already paid and had all of the confirmation information. We showed him the reservation, yet he still refused to acknowledge it. He then requested a second payment, despite the fact that we had already paid in full. Only later did he finally realize, essentially, “Oh, maybe you do have a reservation.”
The room itself was absolutely unacceptable. It was dirty, there was no water, there was no toilet paper, and the toilet would not flush. We were eventually offered another room because of the water problem, but unfortunately, the second room was no better. The toilet still would not flush, and once again, there was no toilet paper.
The entire property was extremely run-down and appeared poorly maintained. The pool was dirty and not inviting at all. Even worse, the property was covered with large piles of dog feces from the property manager’s Doberman. There were piles of it throughout the property, which was disgusting and completely unacceptable for a place charging guests to stay there.
This was not simply a minor inconvenience or an isolated problem.
