When i made my reservation, there was no indication on their website or on Expedia that they were going through major renovations. I had an extended stay planned, and would not have made a reservation if i'd known there would be construction most days of the week between 8am-sometimes past 7pm. Then one day, i left for work to return and find a note under my door that they needed me to move rooms by the next morning. That's less than 24 hour notice when i was staying for weeks and had many things spread out and also in the fridge and freezer. When i called about this, i was originally told they couldn't even guarantee that the room they could move me to had a kitchen and fridge (which was the whole reason i booked there). I will say the staff was very understanding and allowed me to get a refund on a non-refundable reservation and leave early.
