Summary:
Palm Views is a beautifully presented, centrally located Palm Beach bach, just a three-minute walk from the white sands, playground, BBQ area, and the iconic Palm Beach Store. Set amongst lush, private gardens and designed for easy indoor–outdoor living, this is a relaxed coastal hideaway perfect for families and small groups wanting a simple, comfortable base close to everything.
The Space:
Palm Views is a light-filled coastal cottage designed for slow mornings, easy afternoons, and long warm evenings outdoors. Set behind Palm Beach in a private, leafy position, the home has been thoughtfully arranged to make holiday living simple, everything you need is here, and everything you want is just a few minutes’ walk away.
Step inside and the main living area opens instantly to the deck, with wide glass sliders that blur the line between indoors and out. The space feels calm and breezy, with comfortable seating, natural textures, and garden views from every angle. It’s the kind of room where families naturally gather, preparing meals together, sharing breakfast before the beach, or settling in after a long day swimming and exploring.
The kitchen is modern, practical, and well equipped for holiday cooking, whether you’re assembling something simple or settling into a longer dinner with friends. The dining table sits beside the sliders so you can open the whole space up and enjoy the sea breeze while you eat.
Both main-house bedrooms are peaceful and sunlit, one with a queen bed and the other offering a queen plus a single, ideal for families travelling with children. Soft linens, garden outlooks, and the quiet of the surrounding bush give each room a sense of restfulness. Between them sits the bright, modern bathroom with a tiled shower and easy access from the living areas.
A third bedroom with its own bathroom is tucked away at the back of the house and accessed externally, perfect for guests who prefer a little extra privacy, grandparents travelling with family, or couples wanting their own space. This separate setup makes Palm Views especially comfortable for mixed groups.
Outside is where the property truly shines. The spacious deck wraps around to a covered dining area with comfortable seating, shade, and privacy. It’s a lovely spot for long afternoon lunches, slow dinners, and quiet early-morning coffees listening to the birds in the surrounding trees. The outdoor shower beside the garden is a favourite with guests, perfect after the beach, especially on long summer days.
Surrounded by established greenery and just moments from one of the island’s best swimming beaches, this cottage is a classic Waiheke bach elevated with modern comforts, thoughtful design, and easy indoor–outdoor flow. Simple, bright, and beautifully located, Palm Views is the kind of place where holidays feel effortless.

The Neighborhood:
Palm Views is perfectly positioned for an easy beach holiday. A short, three-minute walk brings you to beautiful Palm Beach, a sheltered, golden-sand bay loved for swimming, paddle-boarding, sunbathing, and long, lazy afternoons. Here you’ll also find a great children’s playground, public BBQ area, and Acadia Restaurant, which is ideal for relaxed lunches and dinners by the sea.
The Palm Beach Store is a local favourite for ice creams, takeaway coffee, and quick essentials, while the broader neighbourhood places you within a five-to-ten-minute drive of Oneroa Village, the passenger ferry at Matiatia, the vehicle ferry at Kennedy Point, and the wineries that define this part of the island. Mudbrick, Cable Bay, and the Heke Brewery & Distillery are all close enough for an easy afternoon outing.
This is a quiet, leafy area where days naturally fall into a simple rhythm, beach, food, rest, repeat.
Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is on Palm Road, just a short walk from the cottage. Buses from here connect directly to the key island routes, including Palm Beach → Oneroa → Matiatia Ferry Terminal, making it easy to explore without a car.
These services also pass by, or stop close to, many of Waiheke’s most popular vineyards, including Mudbrick, Cable Bay, Te Motu, and the Heke Brewery & Distillery.
Parking is available at the bottom of the access path, but taxis and rideshares can be limited during peak times and are generally expensive on the island. If you’re planning vineyard visits or dinners out, it’s best to pre-book transport or use the bus network where possible.
Other Things to Note:
Palm Views is supplied by rainwater tanks, so please be mindful of water use during your stay. Waiheke relies on sustainable water collection, short showers and sensible usage help us conserve this precious resource.
The property is accessed via a steep 75-metre uphill path from the parking area. Please consider this when packing or if mobility is a concern.
