Made my reservation at around 9 PM on the same day when I was planning to stay for the night. Arrived at the property close to 4 AM after a long difficult 13 hours drive.
All exhausted and looking forward to getting into bed, I've learned that the hotel's night manager canceled my reservation.
She claimed that I had to keep them updated on what time I would be arriving.
So I should’ve taken my attention from driving through awful weather conditions and calling them and keeping them well informed about what time I'll be arriving.
That’s ridiculous.
My room was basically paid by me until 11 AM so why would they cancel?
The staff member who I was dealing with had nothing but an inappropriate attitude: instead of accommodating, the solution I was offered was to book another room for a higher rate that I had my reservation for.
The Hotels.com representative wasn’t helpful either.
What a shame!!!
