Called four times and messaged 5 times through what's app and Expedia for pickup with no response. Finall, we took a 45 euro taxi. About a 30 minute drive. It's the long way around the airport but still only about 2 miles from the airport. When we got there, the only response about the taxi fiasco was to ask us for the local 2 euro tax for which they wanted cash but had no change. They finally let me use a card. After they checked our passports the rude lady had to run off and check our room for some reason. This was while we were waiting outside the office in a surprisingly very cold day. No help with luggage. The room smelled bad Musty, moldy. We counted 4 air fresheners but they didnt help. The bed was bumpy with springs. Uncomfortable. There was only a very thin blanket which was very rough. The pillows were nice. The floor grout had mold or something growing. The bathroom was miniscule. Couldn't sit on the toilet straight. The shower was so small I kept hitting the walls with my elbows and hands and the water kept splashing out the top. There was nowhere close to eat, but there was a free shuttle back and forth to the ocean and a nice restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately the gate was locked and our key did not open it. Took about 5 minutes of hitting the doorbell button before someone came to open the gate again in the surprisingly cold night. The planes from the airport were very noticeable in the room till about 10pm or so. The "garden" was a mess

This was a unique stay. We were expecting an airport econobox hotel; instead, we had a lovely stay facilitated by a kind and personable staff. A nice outdoor courtyard, breakfast delivered to the room, well coordinated shuttle and thoughtful recommendations for dinner... First class! Only downsides were if you want to walk to dinner to see the neighborhood, there are not many options, and a slow draining shower. But if you take the staff recommendations, there is a restaurant that will pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. Would definitely stay again, a refreshing change of pace compared to more corporate stays.

Hidden gem near airport and coastal restaurants

Our stay last month at Comfort Stay Athens Airport Hotel was a pleasant surprise! The only thing that gave us a moment's pause was the somewhat isolated location. As we drove through the neighborhood, our taxi driver did not seem familiar with the area, but as soon as we arrived, we realized that this place is a hidden gem! The room was immaculate, spacious and well-appointed. The gated central courtyard area was charming with plenty of seating and several shade trees. We envisioned relaxing there with a glass of wine and regretted not having arrived during warmer weather. The young woman who greeted us was extremely friendly (with perfect English) and professional. A very welcome feature of the service at Comfort Stay is the free shuttle ride to the waterfront restaurants in the area. We had a great dinner there and were relieved to know that, at the end of the evening, we had only to ask for the shuttle to come back to return us to the hotel. We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat and recommend it highly if you need to be close to the airport or close to the coast.

This was our worst experience in Greece. Before arrival, I communicated with the hotel and was told to call or WhatsApp when we arrived at the airport for our transfer. We called, WhatsApp for an hour, turned our cellphone on to roam just to be able to make a phone call, all to no avail, NO ONE ANSWERED. After an hour and half to trying, we eventually took an uber to the hotel, only to turn up to an empty hotel with no reception or anyone to greet us. We waited for about half an hour and the receptionist came to work, she was apologetic and contacted the owner who said we will be given a discount, free dinner and transfer to the airport the next day. The lovely receptionist did make us dinner, however, no discount was given and Lo and behold the transfer DID NOT turn up to take us back to the airport and again, did not respond to any message or calls. While we were waiting for the transfer that did not turn up, a couple from Canada came to check in and was appalled that no one was at the hotel to check them in either. This hotel services needs to be reviewed Expedia.

The location is in the airport runway area on an unpaved road. The grounds have not been maintained in the manner depicted in the photos (weeds overgrown, bushes untrimmed, no pads on any of the furniture). The only vending machine was out of order. The location made the access to any tourist attraction unwalkable. The host was on property only after 4pm and until 9pm. The 23 euro pizza was truly terrible. The host failed to make transportation arrangements for me and my wife as discussed the previous evening.

Great option for a 1-2 night stay when going to and from the airport. It’s cute, cozy and a little in the country side which I loved. The free transfer was super convenient and worked perfectly for us given our flight was at 3 am. It’s like 10-15 minutes from Athens airport. Also close to Rafina port if your taking the ferry. It’s a bit of a drive from the city unfortunately but we were able to get a transfer to a cute little beachside area close by for dinner which there were tonnes of options.

We had expected a typical hotel when we booked, to our surprise it definitely wasn’t. It was so much better! The room itself was spacious, clean, well equipped. They provided a free shuttle to and from the airport, and a free shuttle to a from an Oceanside restaurant for dinner that we also highly recommend. To our surprise, breakfast was also included and delivered to our room. The girl at the desk was so helpful and accommodating. Book it, you won’t be sorry.

We stayed in the cottage/house. The cottage was cute and quaint and spacious. The shower was tiny and the food to the room took quite a while and wasn’t great. The surrounding area is a lot of little apartments and dirt roads, not what I expected. But a short cab ride to Artemida beach was convenient and beautiful. This was good for our family as just a one night stay between flights.

Great place to stay if you're connecting flights overnight in Athens. This place runs perfectly to accommodate travelers. Free airport shuttle, breakfast basket to your room and a nice espresso machine 😊

We booked this hotel on the day of our stay because our flight was cancelled due to the strike. We got picked up from the airport and waited at the property for our check in. The room was great and comfortable. The lady at the reception was very nice and accommodating. She even brought our breakfast at night since we have to leave early the following day. The shuttle was on time and all in all it made our stay very comfortable despite the discomfort the strike caused. We will stay again in this hotel.
