The wonderful staff at Athens Central Hotel is only surpassed by the nighttime view of the Acropolis from the hotel's rooftop. Also, the Thea restaurant is outstanding - I had some of the best salmon of my life. And, the G&T wasn't too bad, either.

Positives- The hotel was well maintained and clean and in an excellent location. The room was good and the bed comfortable and quiet as it was located at the back with a view of the acropolis. Breakfast was very good and the staff in the breakfast room friendly and helpful as was the staff at the rooftop bar which had an amazing view of the acropolis, especially Alexi. Negative- Staff at reception were polite but not welcoming and friendly, hardly smiled. When entering or leaving the hotel during our stay there were times when they did not even look up. Wotif stated that our room would have robes however when enquiring with reception the advised this room did not include robes. They also did not supply basic shower cap, slippers and stated that this was only for the superior plus rooms, but reluctantly gave me one shower cap and slippers. These things are basic in nearly all hotels.
