Ao Nang Holiday Packages

We had a good time at Sri Lanta but it is very overpriced - we paid about $180 for a bungalow veranda room which is worth about $90-$100, based on other places we've travelled. The huts are generally pretty basic, particularly the bathrooms, which would be fine but not that that rate. We stayed at the Marriott in Bangkok for the same price and it was absolute luxury in comparison. The food is good here and the beach is lovely. It's very quiet down this end of the island. But if you don't have/can't ride a scooter then it's an expensive ride to the main town, about 15-20mins away. They charge 150b per person each way, which for a family of four ends up being almost $50 for a return trip. Compare this to taxis in Bangkok which cost about $8 for over an hour's ride. Generally Koh Lanta is overpriced but it is still a nice island, if you're not interested in getting value for your money.

Love the monkeys and the gardens

For what we paid this resort definitely didn't meet our expectations. The room we had book wasn't what we expected. It was advertised as a grand pool room and we had no view of the pool. Its very quiet place. No vibe so definitely more suited for those who want to relax and read.
