Great Staff, Great Place, Right Price!

I’ve never stayed on this side of ‘Dam, but it was ideal for the meetings I had this trip. My experience at this hotel was top notch. The staff were super friendly and extremely accommodating. From the moment I arrived, until the completion of my stay. The room is a little small but extremely efficient and modern. Beyond a comfy bed and widescreen TV, the shower is hot and the air-con is cold. Only complaints would be that the air is always on. There’s no way to shut it off completely. That can be a bit annoying if you have allergies. At €20+ for breakfast I only had that one morning. It seemed a bit steep for what was essentially a continental breakfast. Again, the staff here were very friendly as well. The location is ideal. The metro and transit are very close by. It’s also easy access to the airport and such too. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Motel One Amsterdam is in a very convenient location only 4 stops on the Metro from Central Station. There are a few various restaurants and a supermarket close by and the breakfast at the Motel is also very good. There is an also a RAI Station 4 minutes walk from the hotel that takes you through to the Airport in less than 10 minutes. Save yourself a €30 taxi ride!

We stayed here for just one night before moving to an AirBnB with my family. The hotel is not far from the train station, so it’s easy to get to. We got an upgrade so our room and the bathroom are quite spacious. What I like best is that our room and the hotel in general is very clean. The staff is nice and attentive, and they gave us a warm welcome. I wished we stayed here longer, and we definitely will stay here again the next time we travel to Amsterdam.

Traveled throughout Europe for a month. This hotel did not provide water, coffee, or tea in rooms. It’s the little things that make the stay even better. They also did not have my reservation thru Expedia. Which they still we able to get us a room but made me a bit nervous. Not very close to the main area in Amsterdam

Hotel was right next to train for airport and metro for city attractions. Handy supermarket and some lovely bars / restaurants and bakeries for breakfast. Coffee in hotel was lovely and staff all very helpful. We will return here for sure

Overall, it’s a good hotel, great staff and great breakfast. The issue is that they don’t accept $500 bills and you will be forced to use your credit card and this is not at all convenient for those who count on cash payment to not pay exchange rate on their credit card. For a payment over $1000, you cannot expect people to carry many $100 bills. It’s normal to carry $500 bills.
