Bathroom in our room was disgusting. Mold in the shower, hair from previous guest in shower, shower head full of limescale, shower curtain dirty, overall not pleasant feel for getting ready in the AM.

Fine but lots of broken amenities

The room, beds, breakfast and shower were good. We were very disappointed, however, that the pool was closed, and when we went to use the exercise room, none of the equipment worked and the air conditioning was broken. The ice machine on the first floor was also broken.

Booked a room for our 2 grandchildren since they were having a time because their parents had taken a vacation without them. Plan was to take them to a hotel to go swimming. Booked on line with “a pool”. Not working. It was raining outside Saturday morning so no swimming outside either. This confirmed that I am done paying extra to stay at Fairfield at Marriott.

Quick stopover in Ames to do the Rail Explorers rail ride in Boone and the High Tressel Bridge night bike ride down in Madrid. Unfortunately, a few things in the hotel needed some TLC (clogged- slow draining bathroom sink, toilet was running- probably a slow leak, dresser drawer just kept opening on its own...ghosts? Pool area was closed for some maintenance). Bad luck maybe for the hotel... but we did do the things we came here to do! Parking was ample and the breakfast area and selection was good!
