Reduced price! 5 Bedroom Waterfront Home - Kayaks - Come and Enjoy!

This 5 bedroom 2.5 bath 2100 sq ft retreat is a true slice of paradise with huge picture windows overlooking the water from the living room, dining room and kitchen! Relax on the large, benched deck overlooking the Puget Sound, explore the sound on the kayaks , or take a walk on the beach. There are several bald eagles that live in the trees nearby, and you will often see them soaring above the water in search of their next meal. Seals are also a frequent sight just in front of the home in search of fish. Canadian Honkers can be heard as well, announcing their presence. We are fortunate to experience both high and low tides, which provides for exploring the best of both worlds! Low tide provides the opportunity to explore the incredible sea life up close and personal. Star fish, sand dollars, crab and more. License is required for the gathering of any clams or oysters, and limits apply. We want to preserve the integrity of the beach, and please gather responsibly. Leave oyster shells and fill in clam holes. High tide allows for easy launching of the kayaks and you are off to explore! We have provided life jackets for guest use, please use them when out on the water.
You are close enough to stores and dining that you can choose to go out for food, or bring food back and cook in the well appointed kitchen. A gas BBQ is available as well, under the covered entry way, and provides for cooking out rain or shine. This home will easily accommodate a group and is a comfortable space with a lot to offer. We are firm on the request for no parties however. We ask that you respect our home. Washer and dryer, air conditioning, granite counter tops in the bathrooms and kitchen and several items that will make your stay comfortable and relaxing! There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor with queen sized beds, a powder room and a full bath. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms. The upstairs master has a King sized bed with an en suite bathroom, soaking tub, double vanity and double headed shower. The Master is also equipped with a flat screen TV and a DVD player. Its 3 sets of windows offer views as well as the opportunity to leave them open and fall asleep to the sound of water lapping on the shores of the sound. The second room upstairs is equipped with 2 sets of bunk beds, and there is also a loft area between the rooms with a futon style couch, TV and an X-Box 360. The main floor with the open concept provides for conversation and interaction while in the living room, dining room or kitchen. The living room is equipped with a TV, DVD player and stereo system for your enjoyment. For the sports enthusiast, the owners have also provided the digital sports package with the cable plan, so you won't miss the game! In the entertainment center, you will find rows of DVD movies for all ages and genres. Personally, we enjoy layering blankets on the floor for the kids and having movie parties after the sun sets and water activities have wrapped up for the day. Our goal is for you to enjoy your time here, fall in love with the space, and return every time you need to get away! Thank you for considering our home! Please note that guests are required to complete the rental agreement attached, along with the 2 ID items listed on page 3 of the agreement within 24 hours of booking.

Beautiful location. It’s a great house right on the inlet, we enjoyed a weekend family get together using the kayaks and the lovely deck with nice view. It’s a short drive to Bremerton where we took the ferry for a day trip to Seattle. We would definitely stay there again!

Overall we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the house which had everything we needed for our family reunion. The view was amazing, the kayaks were so much fun, and the deck was the perfect place to relax and watch for seals that came to visit every day. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals but the table was small for a house with 5 bedrooms. The upstairs master bedroom was great but some in our group complained that some of the other beds weren’t very comfortable. Plenty of towels and beach towels were available and the large washer and dryer allowed us to wash what we needed. The distance to Seattle, whale watching tours, and other activities was 45-90 minutes which was longer than we had hoped. It would have been nicer to drive shorter distances. Kim was great and easy to contact when needed.

Great family trip

We were meeting up with our kids who live in Olympia. The house has a fantastic view & was plenty big enough for us. The kids loved the kayaks & we loved watching them from a comfortable chair on the back deck. Thank you for sharing your home.

We had six adult family members stay but also hosted a couple gatherings that included others. The house was great in handling a large extended family potluck. We used it as a home base for our Allyn Days festival visits. Our 4-year old niece enjoyed all the available toys in the bunk room when she came a few days. We made a few suggestions for improvements including one to better accommodate our cousin who uses a walker by adding a railing to the 4-steps to the front door though with lots of help she managed to get up the steps. The beach access was great and the deck facing the water with lots of seating was a wonderful asset. We enjoyed the morning and evening flotillas of Canada geese setting out and returning to their Sherwood Creek homes.

Everything about the house was great and it was the perfect size for our family of nine. The view of Mt Rainier was amazing, along with the sights of seals and bald eagles. Arriving during the low tide was a bit discouraging, but we quickly saw how fast the water level rose and how majestic everything looked. The kitchen had everything we needed, the check-in process was seamless, and the beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of kayaks which were so much fun and lots of indoor games for the whole family. It was a great place to vacation and unwind for the week.

Impeccable waterfront gathering place

There's so much to appreciate! We loved being able to sit out on the deck and watch the seals swimming and sunning themselves on what we named "seal rock." On our last morning, a bald eagle put on a flight show flying back and forth in front of the deck. Having enough kayaks for everyone was awesome - so cool to see the tide come in and go out. Beds and furniture were all clean and comfortable. Plenty of kitchen and dinnerware in the kitchen. Great location, hikes were 20 minutes away, Naval Museum and USS Tuner Joy 35 minutes away in Bremerton. Plenty of room for our family of 7. Would love to schedule another stay here.

Good spot for a summer getaway

Overall this house had everything we needed. We appreciated the AC and the beach access can’t be beat. We enjoyed exploring and hunting for sea glass. Plenty of kayaks and life jackets. There were some cleanliness concerns which I messaged the host about, and I feel VRBOs should have white towels so the can be bleached but this place had blue towels that smelled a little musty. The rest of the house was great. One small recommendation would be to have a table outdoors. We found a card table and made it work.

Another Great Stay in Allyn

This was our 3rd time visiting this house and it continues to deliver. Loved the newer kayaks (and more available than before). The weather was beautiful. We saw seals and explored the beach. We took a day trip for lunch to Hama Hama and made great meals in the well stocked kitchen. We hope to come back earlier in the year next time so that we can take advantage of clamming on the beach. Thanks for another wonderful stay!

Peaceful and fun

The large east facing patio was perfect for August- sunny in the morning and shaded in the heat of the day. We cooked large group meals in the well appointed kitchen. Enjoyed the water, wildlife and kayaks all day. You can find hermit crabs, sponges, starfish, and snails at low tide. We saw several harbor seals, otters, and blue herons as well. The space was clean and comfortable for our group of 10 adults and teens. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Hood Canal home on the beach!

We had a great time on a family vacay and overall the house was great! Only about one and a half hours from Seattle area, 5 mins to a cute little town, and right on the beach! The big deck across the back was wonderful for lounging and eating. Lots of plastic lawn chairs and some recliners but not very comfortable. We were glad we brought Tommy Bahama chairs. We all enjoyed the great Kayaks and inner tubes! the water was warm and smooth, easy into water at high tide! Low tide we could go for long walks along the beach! saw lots of seals, otters and eagles! The house was nice and big with great views from the living areas. We really liked the 2 comfortable high back couches and comfy chairs with ottomens! However some of the beds were awful!! The 2 downstairs on the left were very old and uncomfortable!! Also those rooms only had one tiny bedside lamp, that you couldn't read by. The master upstairs has king bed with great mattress, but the bunkbeds, you sit right to the springs. Only hand soap provided, but they seemed watered down and one had broken handle. The kitchen was very well equipped, however there were a lot of dishes and glasses with cracks and chips. Most were plastic and can't use in microwave. The blender worked, but had no lid, so we held towel over top. Tea kettle lid broken, so hard to use. Several old pot holders that were thin with holes and I burned my hand using one. Just a few tweaks would make this the perfect place!!!

Such an amazing place! We were a group of 11, and the space fit us perfectly! Spent every morning and evening out on the deck with great views of the inlet and sea life. There were a couple pairs of binoculars for us to use too! Stores and restaurants were close, within less than a 10min drive. All communication with Kim was great, very informative and she’s quick to respond. Will consider this space again if we come up that way!
