It’s not a 5 star motel but the value is exceptional: very clean, comfortable and cared for, all for a price rarely seen these days. The owners are very hands on, friendly and they obviously care about doing things well and care about their customers having a good stay.

The proprietors were just as delightful and accommodating as they could possibly be. The place is old but has had some renovation. The furnishings have been updated and the beds are quite comfortable.

Great place, will definitely stay again!

This is an older motel, that is being remodeled. I love that it retains its vintage look on the outside, while being very comfortable and up to date inside. The larger mini fridge was definitely appreciated. To the owner: you mentioned you were remodeling some rooms to be handicapped accessible, with walk/roll in showers. Please also install a handheld shower head. It makes it so much easier for people to wash all the parts of their body, easily. Thanks for a great stay, we’ll definitely stay with you guys again.

Great little motel. A little highway noise but not bad. The couple that own it are charming and very welcoming. Retro vibe to the room, but has up to date TV with Direct TV. Wifi available as well. Decent water pressure with multi-function shower head. Beds were good. Stay here...you will enjoy.

Jackie and her husband at the Shiny Motel were a friendly port in the storm for me and my two pups! LITERALLY!🤗 I was in town for a church retreat and my original plans fell through. We were in the midst of a torrential downpour and with two tired pups and no reservation, Jackie made room for us and we are so grateful! This is a very old hotel, but the room was extremely clean and we felt very safe! The apartment sized freezer/fridge and large microwave was a wonderful help as well! The grounds had sufficient space to allow me to walk the pups too! The price was great too as I had already paid for my other reservation that didn't work out. I would definitely recommend a stay, and we stayed for two nights!😊

This went past what we expected. When we first saw it, we wondered what we got ourselves into. Turned out to be a really nice place. Old, yes, but not fun down. Could use a little face lift. The lady there was the nicest person. So sweet and friendly. Wanted to make sure everything was good.

Shiny Motel truly “shines” as a bastion of comfort and hospitality! During our stay, we were approached by Jackie, the owner, who happily welcomed us to her humble abode(s) and offered to assist us in any way and at any time. The morning of checkout, all of the tenant’s vehicles were covered in ice. Not on Jackie’s watch! After returning our key and checking out, she proceeded to scrape and clean all of the ice from our vehicle’s windows and mirrors! The room was cozy, very clean and held so much personality with its multicolored walls and wall art. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and a must-stay for anyone visiting the Grays Harbor area. We will happily be returning and staying with Shiny Motel again in the future! Thank you, Jackie and family for your kindness!

They owners are just so lovely! We rent a room multiple times a year to visit our mother and the family unit is perfect for our needs. We are able to cook meals and spend time playing games together when we are not out exploring. Their place is just so lovely and amazing
