Due to understaffing, lack of management presence where there was a function where the guests were outrageously rude Nd unkind to staff and other guests . There was no control or apology at all, extremely intimidating for bar staff Nd other guests. Music on til midnight blaring up through the rooms, and not a management member in sight. Was disgusted. We did get out dinner free after an email complaint, but sorry just doesn't cut it. Sad for a beautifully located place with such potential. Frayed towels and cheap pillows. Sad very very sad

Ardoe house has a lot of character. Entry seemed tired and due for refresh, but the Prestige room we booked was modern and well equipped. The grounds are superb, and very relaxing. We would stay again.

Ardoe House is a beautiful property, very much in keeping with it's history as a baronial mansion. The decor is lavish and made us all feel very posh! The rooms are very well appointed and clean. The bed was the most comfortable bed we had in our two weeks of travel, and the dining options were great. The included breakfast buffet was delicious and had so much on offer, it was hard to decide - luckily there was haggis!! The staff were all incredibly friendly and lovely to deal with. I would highly recommend this hidden gem.

All staff were friendly but bar and waiting staff seemed preoccupied breakfast staff were great as well as the housekeeping staff who were spot on and on the down side reception staff at the spa facilities were less than impressive mumbled his way through what was available got the impression the young man didn’t want to be there and the whole feel of the hotel and grounds were tired unkept and dated so much so my other half wanted to leave on the second night but just checked out super early the next morning
This highland coo on the grounds summed up our stay tired and miserable 😔

Upon arrival and entry the hotel looked amazing. The reception and bars are quite beautiful…Our room had stains all over the carpet and was just ok. The whole place needs a bit of love and attention as it’s looking really tatty in places. We ventured to the pool /spa area - again looks dated and tatty - changing rooms not great and I didn’t get into the pool as the water was milky…loads of little kids in the jacuzzi. Such a shame as I’m sure it was lovely in its day.

Nice hotel, lovely setting and good car parking. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Disappointed that the Spa, although open, had swimming lessons taking place for several hours on the Saturday and the featured Whisky bar was closed Saturday night (the other hotel bar was however, open)

We were made so welcome from our arrival, until we departed. The rooms were lovely and roomy and perfectly clean. There were meal options, you could eat in the dining room or have something simple in the bar area. The city is only ten minutes away and the gardens and surrounding area are perfectly kept and make you feel like you are in the grounds of a stately home. It was perfect for us.

I was at my stepsons wedding it was a beautiful set up for the wedding and the rooms were great and the buffet breakfast was amazing fairly enjoyed it

Relaxing stay with spacious room, large shower that was nice and hot. Dinners in restaurant were tasty. Massages at spa were relaxing. Highland cows nearby were a treat.
