Nice Hotel .. Friendly staff...

Great location between the sea and town

Pros: The view of the straits, the friendly staff and the great facilities.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The location is great if you use the shuttle bus to access the old town. Plenty of big shopping malls not far away and the old fort isn't too far.
The Holiday Inn Malacca was great after staying in a beach hut on Tioman for a few days. The facilities (the room, the pool, sauna etc) were great. We had a hire car so it was easy to drive into town but there is a free shuttle bus. The town is walkable (10 to 20 mins) but we didn't try it. Shopping malls aren't that far away although the roads are busy so I suggest you get dropped off and picked up by the shuttle bus. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
