Awful room. I've seen nicer hostels.
Upon arrival reception deceptively looked ok, however the room unfortunately was not nice at all. When we went into our room it smelt very unpleasant, old, musty and dirty. The heating had been left on the highest settings which completely unnecessary given the temperature that day, it was so hot we could barely breath and went straight back out. Unfortunately with bars on the only window we couldn't open them for fresh air to cool the room down or get rid of the smell so we had a very uncomfortable night. The bathroom smelt worse than the bedroom. The bathroom was not clean enough and there was mould in the shower. There was no plug or drainage protection in the sink so you couldn't fill it to use it and you could easily lose items of jewelery down it too. The beds had no duvets on them. Nothing but a single layer of a thin cotton sheet to sleep under and a very scratchy, old piece of brown flannel. Neither of us slept given the discomfort. I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free.

This property is not as advertised. Be very careful when booking. The photos show large clean rooms, instead we received a room that we did not book, we booked a quadruple with double bed and 2 single beds. We arrived early and management had ample time to tell us our room was already booked out, but they did not mention anything until check in time. The beds were very small and did not fit our family. They offered us a rollaway which would not fit in the room. If we had booked 1 night we could have put up with it, but as we had booked 4 nights i told them we could not stay. They took all our money and did not refund me any of the nights booked. They also require that you leave the room key with them when you leave the hotel. I would steer clear of this hotel.

Totally disgusting and disappointing
What we expected and what we experienced was miles apart. Totally disgusting and customer service was horrendous when we complained. Will never stay again and we warn anyone about basement rooms if they think they have booked accommodation based on websites
