Very comfortable and relaxing stay. Enjoyed the room and resort facilities. The stay was too short; would have loved to have stayed longer.

"Nice Resort close to the beach."
A nice resort located very close to the beach and centrally located on the Sunshine Coast. The complex is becoming dated and in need of refurbishment. I paid for an internet connection but the wi-fi signal was too weak for me to use my laptop in my room and I had to sit outside the office whenever I wanted to connect on the internet. When I advised the office staff, they advised me to get in touch with the ISP. When I done this the ISP said they would look into the problem and get back to me. At the end of the week I had still not heard back from them. I believe that the resort staff should follow up the weak wi-fi signal problem. The unit was provided with a kitchen, but also a warning that the fire alarm system is very sensitive, and that you will be charged a $950 dollar fee if the Fire Brigade is called out.

"Easter Break"
Firstly the hotel is in an amazing position, close to the beach with some fabulous restaurants right at your door step. The owners were lovely and the pool was a hit with the kids. Our room was very roomy with very comfy beds. I always travel with my own sharp knives and skillet so I can't comment on the items supplied. A few points that could be improved to make the stay even better. Many of the doors latches didn't work so when we had the sliding doors in to catch the breeze we couldn't close off rooms and the doors would bang until we held them back with the stoppers. Better to have working doors. Secondly, the hot water is volcanic. My son nearly scalded himself in the shower. A temperature limiter needs to be installed on the hot water system. Finally when were cleaning to go we lifted the seagrass mat and I think half of the beach was under there. I don't think it had been swept in awhile. A note to the cleaners!! We also had a loud buzzing noise which we couldn't locate which went all day/night off and on my husband didn't notice too much but me being the light sleeper found it annoying. We didn't find the traffic noise a problem. Still a great hotel in a fabulous spot and I would recommend them highly to stay there.

"Great location "
First room was ok, but the bed was terrible, sleeping on the floor would of been better. But the lovely hotel staff changed us with no fuss the following day. From then on I could not fault the place for the price

    Pocket Guide: Alexandra Headland

Looking to explore the Sunshine Coast? Then why not stay in one of our Alexandra Headland hotels? Conveniently located between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba on the famed ‘Sunshine Strip’, there is no better place to stay to be close to the action of the two hottest destinations on the Sunshine Coast.

Of course, there are plenty of other reasons to stay in Alexandra Headland. A charming little seaside resort town known as ‘Alex’ to the locals, this is the perfect place for a beach getaway. Expect great weather and temperatures with an average high of 28°C in summer and 20°C in winter. Come here if you want to escape the sweltering summer heat! The area is also known for having the shortest beach in the Maroochy district. With most tourists off visiting the beaches at nearby Maroochydore and Mooloolaba, Alexandra Headland Beach has a relatively peaceful and intimate feel to it. Spread your towel on the white sand and relax with a good book or take a dip in the cool, clear water. Want to catch some waves? Hire a surfboard from one of the friendly surf shops or take a lesson in Surfing 101. If you prefer your sports on wheels, then head to the outdoor skate park just beside the beach. Bring your bike, skateboard or rollerblades or watch in awe as both beginners and pros perform flips and tricks on the park’s ramps and rails. The park is especially stunning at night when its concrete platforms are illuminated against the background of the crashing waves.

Just across the beach is Alexandra Parade, the main strip where most of the area’s hotels, restaurants and shops are. Check out the many stores selling surf gear, purchase some new swimmers to look your best on the beach, or just indulge in some new every day wear. Once you’ve shopped up a storm, take a seat at one of the restaurants, cafes or bars overlooking the beach; whether you feel like Italian, Indian, Thai or a good old fashioned seafood platter, there’s plenty to choose from here.

Alexandra Headland is an easy 80 minute drive from Brisbane. Once you’re here, it’s a quick six minute drive to Maroochydore or two minutes to Mooloolaba. If you’d prefer to walk and take in the fresh sea breeze, walking to Maroochydore will take you 30 minutes or 20 minutes to Mooloolaba. With some of the Sunshine Coast’s best experiences on your doorstep and heaps of family-friendly accommodation, wot’s not to love? Book your Alexandra Headland accommodation from our range below!
