7 awesome Aussie out-of-office messages for 2021

Wow! 2021 sure wasn’t what any of us expected, was it? And while it might feel too soon to be Christmas again for some, I think we can ALL agree that we all deserve an awesome break. So to help get you in the holiday spirit (and solidify your rep as the most hilarious person in your office), I’ve come up with seven great Aussie out-of-office messages for 2021. Have fun!

Disclaimer: Remember, some workplaces are more relaxed than others and with great autoreply power comes great responsibility. Use these messages wisely 😉

1. The long leave bragger

G’day and thanks for your email. The last two years have left me with a stack of unused annual leave, so I’ve decided to treat myself to an extended (and, if you’ll excuse the brag, epic) end-of-year break. I’ll be back in February, when my inbox will no doubt be overflowing. Email XXXXX for help in the meantime.

2. The game enthusiast

Sorry, but I’m not checking emails today. I’m making the most of my end-of-year break, which means sleeping in, eating all the things and watching far too much Netflix. See you in a couple of weeks when I’ll finally know what a ‘Squid Game’ is.

3. The time traveller

Hi there! I can’t reply to your email right now. I’m on a getaway to beautiful XXXX, where 2021 is but a distant memory. 2022 won’t be starting until I’ve had some serious holiday time. I’ll get back to you in mid-January.

4. The jumper

Thanks for getting in touch. I’d respond to your query, but I’m FINALLY on my Christmas holiday and I’m literally jumping for joy 🤸‍♀️ See you in Jan.

5. The bucket-lister

Thanks for your email. I’m not sorry I missed it, ‘cause I’m having too much fun ticking off my post-lockdown holiday-period bucket list. That means:

  • Having lunch with friends
  • Kissing someone under the mistletoe (without a mask!)
  • Driving more than 5km from my house
  • GETTING MY HAIR DONE!!!

Catch ya in 2022.

6. The loose canon

Hi and thanks for your email. Unfortunately, Work Me has clocked off for the year and you DON’T want Holiday Me trying to respond to your query (they’re a loose cannon and far more interested in watching the cricket). See you in 2022!

7. The pavlover

Hi there. I’d thank you for your email, but unless you’re a member of my family giving me a secret heads-up that there’s a second round of pav on the table, I don’t want to know about it. Hit me up again in January.

PLAN YOUR CHRISTMAS GETAWAY

Heads up! Due to COVID-19, government restrictions are in constant review and travel guidelines may change. We strongly recommend that all travellers seek further information about destinations and attractions before scheduling trips or making bookings, take extra care and follow all rules.
