My accommodation was cancelled by the resort. After four long phone calls, having to explain myself 4 times that my accommodation had been cancelled because the resort was sold and closing, having to forward the email i had received from them to you, only because i had confirmed with them by email had i received this advice – too bad if i hadnt confirmed – i would have shown up and had nowhere to stay – i received a call from you to tell me (which i had already told you four times) that the resort had cancelled my booking. I feel sorry for people who are continuing to book at that resort not knowing it will be closed. It is still available for people to book on your website.
April 6, 2018Using the site and finding accommodation was easy, as was paying. The change to not provide a GST invoice for Australians is a massive problem, especially without notification before the time of purchase. My business has difficulty with the reimbursement now, as we know the hotel has to pay GST, and therefor GST is included, but the receipt that can be downloaded and the conversation with the customer service representative showed us that Wotif is no longer registered for GST.
We have contacted our entire workforce of 200+ staff and given a directive that no one is to use the Wotif services for business travel arrangements ever again.
I have also publicised this within my Australia wide business network.

Premises is dated and the room required some repairs such as rehanging the curtains after they had previously been pulled from the fixings. The local area and in your room is plagued by Mosquitos. When I went to ask why my room had at least 15 mosquitos on the ceiling I was given the reply “They obviously like you”. I asked for a can of insect killer and it was readily to hand. After looking round the room in more depth I found that the room came with insect spray as standard. No other insects were seen.

April 6, 2018Too Many pressure selling techniques like “x number of others looking at this”, “this is the lowest price you have seen today” – no kidding, it was the first hotel I’d looked at!
April 6, 2018The hotel was good, wotif lacked information about additional charges for pets. I would have been better off calling them direct so I could pay them correctly for their services and not have to pay the additional wotif service charge.
