This place is super special. A little oasis with great walkability to the sites in Thamel. The grounds and building are absolutely stunning. We loved the free rooftop yoga every morning and the free heritage walk around Thamel. Every detail of the building is absolutely beautiful--truly like staying in a sacred temple. If you are looking for a unique and authentic Nepali experience in the heart of Thamel, this is the place.

Shambaling Boutique Hotel: Business-friendly hotel with free WiFi and free valet parking. Located in the historical district.
My husband and I stayed for several nights and were delighted by the whole experience. The staff are very kind and the service was impeccable. The location is ideal for exploring Boudha area and the delicious and fairly-priced on-site restaurant made it easy to improvise plans each day. Truly exceptional property. We can’t wait to return. "The hosts are very dear people. The modest room was clean offering internet, television and hot water..i slept comfortably on the soft bed. Cooling is a ceiling fan & in tge cement building is more than adequate even in the summer heat."
