As Hollywood’s retirement heaven, Palm Springs has desert spas, fancy hotels, golf clubs and casinos. But don’t worry, this ever-evolving city is also a lot of fun. The VillageFest community fair is on every Thursday in Downtown, while the Uptown Design District is where you go to wine and dine. Zoom up Mount San Jacinto in the rotating aerial tram or have a picnic in the Indian Canyons. Palm Springs is super close to Joshua Tree National park as well.
