I’ve stayed there many times. Always reliable. This time, however, no one mentioned that there was construction going on right next door. At 8am every morning, the drilling started, lasting all day. Not very peaceful.

The renovations to this property are tremendous - wonderful set of improvements for a well situated, higher end experience in Santa Monica for a correctly priced hotel. Great hotel, beware of the ongoing construction!

The hotel is located close to the train station and the area is very walkable. Rooms are in excellent condition, beds are very comfortable and the hotel has a great bar/restaurant. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because there is ongoing construction facing the hotel making it impossible to sleep longer than 8 and to stay in the room during the day. That’s not what I expected for the price I paid.
