Great location but Spartan
It was okay ... difficult to find, a little bit worn out, could use some updating. That being said, I think the price reflected that. Slept four but only two mugs. No plates or silverware. Had to ask for the hot water to be turned on. The beds and pillows were hard for Western tastes. A little too Spartan for us. Location was great.

This is not really hotel, but just an apartment for rent, like AirBnb. There is no formal check-in counter or instructions to contact the owner. It was just by luck we were able to get into the room. Also, there was no kitchen equipment as shown on the website. Apparently if you want such equipment, you need to arrange with the owner before hand. But the owner doesn't speak any english, so need to communicate thru another mode.

I don't believe this is an actual hotel, I believe it is a lady renting out an appartment. After finally finding this apartment block, the name on the building doesn't match what she's trading as. We were eventually taken to another appartment block that was under renovations, across the road and through a dark plaza. The building was under major construction and was very unsafe. Wires hanging out from the walls and a wooden lift!! When we said that this is not the place that we booked, she admitted that she had double booked the room and it was not available. We declined to stay in the death trap she was now offering us. She tried to get us to stay for one night and offered us her own apartment for the next 2 nights. This was at 8pm in a mostly non English speaking city. We then spent 3 hours seeking alternate accommodation. Don't waste your time. Get Outlook for Android

This is not a hotel, it’s serviced apartments. So no reception, no open doors, no English speaking people; not even drinking water. Beds uncomfortable and smoke smell impregnated in the walls. Couldn’t stay there for the night...

Great hotel in a great location
The hotel was excellent and was located right next to the metro, which was very handy! It's attached to a mall with several good restaurants and a supermarket. We enjoyed the good facilities and the helpful staff. I recommend calling the hotel when you arrive in the area and having them direct you or come outside to meet you because it is tricky to locate the first time.

Apartment close to South Gate of Xi'an City Wall
Well, it's a very nice, new apartment in a high-rise close to the south gate of the city wall, where they perform a show almost every night in front of the lit-up gate. Looks spectacular. You can get to the apartment easily on foot from the Yongningmen subway station of line 2. However, it's hard to find, especially since the sign outside shows another name than what you find on Expedia and nobody speaks English. There is also no reception and you are simply on your own. This makes it hard to actually ask a question or get any help. The apartment itself at first glance looks nice and new, but I don't think the floor has been cleaned recently. Getting into bed with naked, freshly washed feet produced dirty sheets. The shower stall has the door hinges loose and you can't adjust the position of the shower head. No opportunity to hang up your wet towel, either. There's a little kitchen with a kettle and two glasses, but bring your own coffee, tea, sugar or whatever, plus a spoon to stir. There are no tools. The Wi-Fi was excruciatingly slow. I spent an entire day to reserve some train tickets, a task that would have taken an hour with decent Wi-Fi. So, unfortunately my stay in Xi'an turned into something of a waste and I didn't get to see what I came there to see.

Good value for the money
For the price and the location, these rooms were excellent. The beds were a bit hard by Western standards, but not unbearable. It is a bit tough to find and we eventually just had to call the number to ask where they were located. It is in a prime location and very easy to get everywhere. As soon as you exit, you are at the subway station. It is in a mall with plenty of restaurant options nearby.
