"85th Birthday Celebrations for my Mum and Dad"
Recently we had a family weekend in Wodonga to celebrate Mum and Dads' birthdays. Family travelled from Bundaberg, Sydney, Kyabram and Bendigo so we wanted somewhere Central for all and must have a good children's play area and a private area for us to celebrate. After a lot of research Blazing Stumps Hotel was recommended as having the best entertainment for the children. They were correct it was a great evening and the kids area was unbelievable!!! 24 adults and 12 children they even opened the private bar for us and were very obliging for the little extra things eg plates for birthday cake etc. They couldn't do enough for us! Most of us stayed at the Comfort Inn next door and I couldn't fault this at all - the rooms were great and very spacious. We had a BBQ the next morning before everyone left and again they were very obliging to accommodate our needs. We can't thank both venue enough for the wonderful experience that we had.

"Great stop over"
My son and I traveled to Wodonga so he could play a football match at La Trobe University. We chose the motel as it was close to the campus which made travel a cinch. The room was exceptionally clean and reasonably large, although it had a hint of the beige 1970s about it. The pub across the road was ideal for a good meal and the motel itself provides breakfast. We were really happy with the choice.

Sanctuary Park Motel - Wodonga Hotels

Sanctuary Park Motel

"Comfortable, but a bit dated"
This was our last stay on a road trip to Qld where we stayed in 8 different towns. The motel was comfortable with necessary facilities. A communal laundry with iron was provided. Furniture and bathroom looks original from 60s/70s. It was a simple but very comfortable room for 2 adults and 2 kids to stop for a night.

    Pocket Guide: Wodonga

Stay in our Albury Wodonga accommodation and relax in these historic twin towns on the New South Wales and Victoria border.

The Murray River, which forms the state border, flows between the two cities and was once a busy trade route. Historic paddle steamers still operate on the Murray, but rather than being used for trade, now offer the opportunity for a relaxing river cruise.

Albury Wodonga is rich in heritage and history, which can be appreciated at a number of locations in the region: Learn of the local indigenous cultures at the Burraja Indigenous History Discovery Centre; discover the region's multicultural past at Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park; see one of Australia's most significant country stations, the Albury Railway Station, built in 1882; and view landscapes by one of Australia's most renowned painters, Sir Russell Drysdale, at the Albury Regional Art Gallery.

While staying in our Albury Wodonga accommodation there are many outdoor pursuits to be enjoyed. The Mitta Mitta and Kiewa rivers are popular fly-fishing spots, and Lake Hume is renowned for Murray cod, redfin and trout fishing. Lake Hume also offers numerous water sports and the region boasts great bushwalking, mountain biking, rock climbing and white water rafting locations.

Escape the hustle and bustle, stay in our Albury Wodonga hotels, and be charmed by the city's tree-lined streets and parks and enjoy gourmet food, fine wines and tasty local produce.
