All the baseboards were torn up, the non smoking room smelled like smoke and did not have a smoke detector, just wires hanging out of the wall.

We picked this hotel as I am a Best Western hotel fan wherever I travel. We also chose this one as it was calling for storms / rain all weekend and I was travelling with my grandkids and they had an indoor pool. The pool was out of service. The hallway did have an odd odor and the coffee pot in the room didn't work but their was fresh coffee in the lobby.

Clean!

Everything was great minus the pool being down but it was fine. It didnt take away from my trip so its not a matter at all. I was very happy with the cleanliness and even thanked the housekeeper for doing such a great hob!

Definitely a bit run down but the room was clean and bed was confortable. Biggest complaint would be that our room had a Mcdonalds right outside our window and since our room had no curtains - only accordian PAPER over the windows, the bright lights shined in all night long and the noise was ridiculous.

Trip to University of Virginia at Wise

The morning breakfast had good choices, hot food, cold foods, fresh made to order pancake machine. The rooms were clean, but unfortunately the indoor pool and gym room were closed for the 3 days we were there for maintenance.
