Just arrived home from a 2 night stay at the woodlands hotel . Receptionist holly is very friendly and welcoming also helpful with information on places to visit. All the breakfast staff are polite everyone makes you feel welcome. Rooms are clean warm and comfortable Ideal base for lakes and towns . Did not want to leave will definatley stay again.

The room was a good size as we were going to a wedding . The room was clean and had everything we needed tea, coffee etc the breakfast was freshly cooked to order perfect the service was excellent.

I only have one gripe about my stay, our room was great, roomy and comfortable but was situated under the dinning area so we were rudely awakened at 7am with the sounds of footsteps, chairs scraping and talking from above and there was never anyone on reception to complain to, breakfast was great but beware of room 17

Great staff. Room 14 has a strange lock on the door, not easy to open. Room was small but ok for 1 night. Lovely breakfast. Parking is ok if you're there early, no spaces left when I got there.

Our stay was brief and pretty decent overall. Staff were nice and the breakfast was good. Not as much green space as the photos show (small patio areas near the parking lot). Location was excellent, between Windermere and Bowness. However, the walls are quite thin (we could hear the person in the room next to us using the washroom). And more problematic, there was a lot of black mold in the bathroom. This could be a health concern for people with breathing conditions or other sensitivites. I know it's a damp region, but I do hope the property managers properly address the issue (not just paint over it). Otherwise the room and common areas were clean (perhaps a little worn, but I prefer to think of that as old English charm lol). Not a bad place to stay for a short while given the price.
