Our favorite place

We love and look forward to coming here every summer. It's cozy, comfy, and super easy to access. The owner is extremely responsive&friendly. The lake is Goldilocks perfect. Perfect temp, size, with a lake bed that's firm to walk on but turns deep quickly so you aren't walking forever to take a proper swim.

A Relaxing Getaway

Exceptional property with a beautiful view. Excellent communication with the host from booking until we left the property. Host also went out of her way to accommodate us by not raising the rates as our stay was during a college football wekend. Thank you again!amajorcollege game.

Family Fun!

The place was great. The grandkids loved the fishingand swimming Lots of great kid fishing right from the shore. It is a little hard to tell from the pictures, but there is a wonderful sandy beach for kids to play on! Everyone used the kayaks and paddle boat. The paddle board was a big hit. A lot of S’more’s were eaten around the campfire. The the owners provided wonderful, beach towels, and many assortment of beach toys Including a lily pad. We are from Ann Arbor and our daughters and their families come from out of town each year for a week. We would definitely rent again. And who doesn’t love a HOT TUB!

Very beautiful lake. Loved the hot tub.

I truly felt as if I went to heaven. We highly recommend staying here. Nice walk out on a sandy bottom . Did swim everyday. Spring fed lake. Used paddle boat everyday. Did take out kayak one day too.Went in the hot tub twice a day.

Relaxing cottage

We had a lovely time at the lakeside home. The hot tub was wonderful to use after a day of swimming and kayaking on the lake. The neighbors are friendly and we were able to check out some nearby restaurants. I recommend both The Witches Hat Brewery and Zingerman’s Roadhouse. We had a fabulous stay and the home was clean and comfortable for our party of six.

Great Lake cottage for family vacation

Very comfortable lakefront cottage in quiet neighborhood. Perfect for small family gathering and close to several area attractions, shopping, etc. Great in-between location to visit other family in the area.

Relaxing Getaway, Close to Everything

My husband and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary here. From start to finish, our host was wonderful. The environment was cozy and inviting. The views were beautiful and watching the evening come while sitting in the jacuzzi was just what we needed. We will be coming back! The stay was perfect!

Lakeside yet so close to Ann Arbor

Really enjoyed staying at the cottage as an alternative to a hotel in Ann Arbor. Our daughter who is a graduate student at U of M came and stayed with us too. Cottage had plenty of space. We enjoyed the kayaks, swimming and hot tub. Hope to return in the future.

Lovely lake front cottage

We looveeee this place. The lake is perfect, with it's firm, sandy bottom and it gets deep pretty quickly for swimming. The owner is very responsive to questions (we had no problems) and has everything set up just right. The hot tub is so nice, and the trees provide a natural umbrella if you want to stay in it during a light summer sprinkle. I'm sure we'll be back again! (This was our second time)

Great time on a beautiful, quiet lake. Kayaking everyday, we had the entire lake to ourselves. Enjoyed the hot tub at night. Great views from this nice cottage.

Smitten with Horseshoe Lake

2nd time staying with Janet and Tom!!! So many wonderful memories!! Hosts are THE BEST!! The lakefront cottage is perfect for a get away, family time or a relaxing vaca!! Neighbors are great…sunrise-sunset this cottage has everything you need. We ate all our meals here, played board games, watched movies and played all day in the water…smores on the fire pit!!!

Nicely done!

This property is a model for how all VRBOs and the other rental company that I can't name here should be. It is clean and well put together. Everything worked (I've been in properties where minor things like having to jiggle a toilet handle had not been handled by the owners). We stayed here for my son's graduation from EMU. U-M had their graduation the day before and rentals in Ann Arbor were asking for up to four figures per night for the weekend. I appreciate that you didn't do this and, frankly, it was nice staying a short distance from the craziness. If ever come back to visit in the summer, I would stay here again and use the lake!
