We had a lovely stay at the Royal Hotel. The proprietors were warm, friendly and very helpful with navigating how to find different places in the area. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The bed comfortable and a spare blanket provided. The breakfast was exceptional and the added bonus of homemade cake, jams and marmalade and great value for money. The hotel is very well situated for the Palace, restaurants, shops and train station, all within easy walking distance. We had a lovely stay and cannot recommend the Royal Hotel more highly.
