Everything is perfect. The staff is great, the hotel is VERY clean and quiet. Also, the location is perfect because you don’t have to walk too much from the transportation places to the hotel (and believe me, this is luxury in a city like Venice)

The room was simple but had everything I needed and was kept very clean by the excellent staff. The free breakfast was delicious and was the perfect start to my days while I stayed there. The only problem I had was that the bug screens on the windows didn't seem to be doing there jobs. There were always a handful of mosquitos trying to bite me in the night and in the morning.

This was a GREAT hotel to stay in! The location, although it's a little far from the main tourist area in Venice (you can definitely walk there, though), was wonderful! Very peaceful and not crowded at all! The breakfast is extremely convenient, too. A couple of things I would have liked to know beforehand: this looks like a convent (not sure if it still is). Nuns provide you with breakfast, and there's a lot of religious paraphernalia. You also have a midnight curfew. You can pay a fee to have someone let you in after hours, if needed. This did not hinder our experience; if anything, it made it more fun, but maybe keep that in mind if you want to party in Venice (not that Venice is a huge party city, to be honest). Overall, great experience!

We enjoyed out stay at Casa Carbulotto. It's a peaceful, tranquil place that served as a nice base, offering a sense of calm and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. There are several open areas/rooms where you can congregate outside of your room. The staff were aloof and not very helpful, for example, on our last day we brought our bags down to the breakfast area as it was two flights down. The breakfast room staff scolded us for trying to leave our bags along the wall in the open area outside the breakfast area, so we brought ours downstairs and left them along the wall near check-in. When we went to retrieve our bags, we were once again reprimanded for leaving them in the incorrect place. We would have been happy to leave our bags in the correct place, unfortunately, nobody told us where we were supposed to put them, but they were more than happy to scold us.

Lovely old house, used to be a nunnery and some of the nuns still work in the hotel. Clean and comfortable. I had a couple of mosquitos in my room at night, which was annoying but couldn’t be helped.

This property is essentially a church operating as a hotel, which creates conflicting expectations. They need to decide whether to function as a church or a hotel, as the two do not align well. When the beauty of Venice is at its peak, guests are under a lockdown from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m., which greatly limits the experience. The beds were very uncomfortable and felt like hospital beds. We booked as a couple but were given two separate twin beds with uncomfortable mattresses.Breakfast was very limited.

I had a great stay at this hotel! - Literally just a 7-minute walk from Venezia Santa Lucia train station—I had a backpack and a regular carry-on suitcase, and the walk was very manageable. - Check-in was fast and smooth, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. - Room was spotlessly clean, with a spacious bathroom and fantastic water pressure in the shower. - Air conditioning was both effective and extremely easy to use, which made the stay even more comfortable. - The room was overall quiet—no unpleasant smells or nighttime disturbances. There is a nearby daycare that can be a bit lively in the mornings, but it did not bother me at all since I am a morning person and usually wake up around 7 a.m. - Continental breakfast each morning was standard but fresh and satisfying. - You do need to leave your key at the front desk whenever you leave, but that was no issue. The hotel’s rules are clearly posted in four languages and are very easy to understand and follow. - Overall, a clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel—perfect for a pleasant and stress-free stay in Venice!
