I love the location of this hotel and the breakfast! We were able to easily walk from the train station with our luggage which was a priority for us, as our train leaving Venice was an early one. Also, as a celiac, it is so helpful to have a decent breakfast and they did a great job of this! I especially love the honeycomb. :) There’s definitely a bit of street noise from partiers at night but probably not as much as the central locations - plus you are able to close shutters, which significantly dampens the noise.

The Continental was perfect for our needs. Near the train station so that we didnt have far to take our luggage and not in too touristy an area. It was right on the canal and so we were able to eat breakfast while watching the boats drive by. Wle took a water taxi from the airport (very much recommend this) and we were dropped right outside our door. All in all it exceeded expectations.

Claudia at the reception was charming and v professional. We choose this hotel due to its proximity to the Stazione Santa Lucia. We had a canal view room which was great. The view was fab but the bathroom was utterly small, v disappointing about this. Breakfast was ok but could for sure be a bit more elevated. The restaurant area requires some attention. The area is great, plenty to do and from there you can walk to everywhere more central located in 40 Minutes.

The property is good. We had a room with the view of the canal which was great. The way from reception to the building where the room is located stinks. The front desk/ reception staff is extremely rude and unfriendly. We happened to check out a little later than the scheduled check-out time since we got stuck at the water bus station in Venice which was our fault( the water bus can get extremely busy and crowded in spring and summer. We waited almost 2 hours just to catch the water bus to get back to our hotel stop ) But, there was no attempt made by the staff to reach us or let us know that they would send cleaners to our room while we were away. Our bags were packed and all they had to do was to let us know that they would move the bags to storage safely while they can clean the room but we were not asked or Informed and upon our return to the hotel, the receptionist was extremely rude in her behavior. Our room was open with cleaners turning over the room. Our luggage was inside with all our valuables ( camera and cash) All our food was thrown in trash and some of the cash money went missing from the bag. They would not help us move our bags out of the room either. A little hospitality would be nice!

A functional, pleasant business hotel … but a small shower that flooded immediately, giving the bathroom a moody smell; had to cross a dank alley (and once enjoy the spectacle of someone peeing there) to reach our building/room; unnecessarily closes the terrace overlooking Grand Canal at 10; very noisy one night as they moved laundry trolleys around in the alley, in Venice, but far from most things. In the end, better than nothing.
