It was as good as expected. I prefer modern and clean instead of rundown and historic. That’s why I didn’t stay in the center of Venice and have chosen a respectable spot around train station. The staff was very helpful. Especially the gentleman was extremely polite and took his time to explain what we might needed to know. However, we left our luggage in the hotel to pick it back up, with the haste of the moment, the gentleman didn’t provide us a ticket for the luggage. He was busy grabbing us some water. We thought that wouldn’t be a problem. When it was time to pick our luggage, the gentleman was not there, but the lady who has seen the interaction made a big deal out of it. I understand this is for security reasons, but even though we have explained that they were the ones didn’t provide the ticket. She insisted that it was our fault to lose the ticket and we were lying. She didn’t say we were but made us feel and acted in the way you know how. This was the only downside so far.

Initial checkin was slow. My room was not ready at 3. The room had no AC. I had to open windows to let in air flow and it was noisy from street below. All night was noise from the street. Noise in hotel too. The bed and pillows were too firm.

The staff were unhelpful. Almost all the clothes in our luggage got soaked by the staff, and no one could tell us whether it was just water or something chemical. Their only response was to send a guy who said he was actually off duty that day when we asked about our water-damaged photo book. Very disappointing experience.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, allowing for easy access to the center of Venice by train. I loved that it was quiet, convenient, had great staff, and the food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious.

The rooms are modern and spacious. Hotel amenities are good. The hotel is right across the railway station which makes it a breeze to visit Venice any time day or night.

Location of the property is awesome, right across the street from the Mestre train station. Restaurants are a very short walk away. Check-in was very fast and courteous. The room itself was outstanding - very roomy and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Not once did I hear any train noise. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. Only one thing I didn't like: Our room faced the side street next to the hotel (vs facing the train station) and there was very bright light shining thru the window in the bathroom (which cannot be covered). You had to shut the bathroom door at night, or the room would be very bright (and we like it to be pitch black). Other than that, we thought this was an outstanding hotel and highly recommend it.

You cannot run the air conditioner when you were not in the room without a key card. Do not like this feature we left a key card in there clean cleaning staff removed while we were gone with 73° when we returned
