The hotel was perfect but we were there when earthquake happened and the staff were not trained what to do in case of emergency. They just ran into the street screaming and didn’t advise the guests what to do. I feel the staff need training in emergency procedures

A fun 5 nights in the heart of Ubud. Lovely hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Very nice Alaya room, at the rear of the property. This was nice and quiet being a fair way of the street front. Breakfast was fantastic as was our afternoon tea. Included in our package. The coffee was the best we have had in Bali. Both restaurants were very good with a wide range of options. Room service was also very good and always prompt. Loved the upper pool area which was refreshing and tranquil. A very pleasant hotel in the centre of Ubud.

Stunning!

We were amazed at the beauty and opulence that unfolded behind the reasonably simple reception. We left the busy streets of Ubud to pass into a quiet, tranquil oasis. Our room was perfect with a balcony that allowed us to almost fall into the gorgeous swimming pool. The staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful. We felt incredibly lucky to have found the Alaya.

Beautiful hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Alaya. It was so quiet and peaceful by the pool surrounded by rice paddies. We were there to do some yoga so being right next door to the yoga barn was fantastic. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great. The staff were so friendly that we asked them for someone to take us to the water temple, instead of a tour guide off the street. Jonika took us out to the water temple, gave us an offering each and did the blessing with us. He told us what each fountain was for and showed us what to do. I would defiantly stay again. I didn't want to come home.

Balinese style hotel

Pros: Traditional Balinese setting.
Great hotel with a very good restaurant where we enjoyed a variety of meals from their traditional to western menu. Loved our room located on the ground floor near the pool. Will definitely return to Alaya in Ubud. Thank to the friendly staff for making our first visit to Bali a memorable one!

Gorgeous accommodation close to everything in Ubud

We spent an amazing 4 nights at Alaya Ubud. Super comfy beds and pillows, the friendliest and most helpful staff and a terrific and extremely reasonable restaurant. Afternoon teas were a real treat as was the pool.

Luxurious rooms excellent food.

The only inconvenience was the sheer walking distance between the hotel lobby and our room.. it stretched for 100m! Service was faultless.
