This is a no front desk motel. I’ve had difficulty reaching someone to talk to about problems with check-in. Both times I’ve called support number the voicemail was full. My written messages were not acknowledged. Trailhead has registration system that demanded info from folks in both rooms when I had booked and paid for both; that made for awkward registration since my relatives in other room were not local to me, and I’m not a geek with all the messages demanding info from them. There was also comprehension problem with the cleaning crew—I had told one that rooms thirty and thirty-one were leaving in an hour. The man didn’t understand me, so I said rooms 30 and 31. He then proceeded to go to room 30 and knock on door to see if it was vacant (?)

A overall rating of 4 is because the room could of used some TLC. We walked into the bathroom noticing something missing from wall but the screws left on wall, it looked odd. Staff we never had to deal with, it does not have a desk! Everything online or through text.

There were cigarette butts outside of one of the rooms we walked by extinguished in a cup with water.. and the walkway outside the rooms upstairs needed vacuuming or sweeping

There is no staff on site most of the time, and the few hours that they are there, you will not see them. This would not be much of a problem, except that the rooms are automatically stocked for 2 people, so if you need towels, bedding, etc, it is a huge hassle and a wait to get them. You have to call a number several times to get through, then they will send someone from housekeeping to the site to deliver you supplies. Luckily, there were no unruly guests, as I imagine that would be particularly problematic for an unstaffed hotel.

The room was clean, comfortable and relaxing. There is a fire pit area, a shelter with several grills and a very clean pool. We will definitely come back next time we are in the area!

Maybe I missed it, but this is all remote…there is no staff on site. If you have questions or want to check in early or check out late, you’re sunk. Small maintenance team is hardworking, but can’t help. We showed up to a sign in the lobby. Had to complete e-check in and got room and code at check-in time. Another family was struggling with this at the same time we were, as well.

The breakfast situation was terrible. They advertised having grab and go items such as granola bars and there was nothing. The shelf was completely empty except for coffee and a couple pieces of fruit for the entire hotel.

The stay itself was good. However, it would have made for a much better check-in if we had booked directly with the property. They have virtual check-in only, with your access code texted to you a couple of hours before arrival. If you book through hotels.com, however, the access code is emailed to them, not to you. I could not find the email on my phone's hotels.com app, and noone answers the phone numbers that the property leaves for emergencies. Also, no one answers a phone at hotels.com any more. Luckily, the housekeeper was on site, and he was able to determine our room number and let us into it.
