TLDR: save yourself some money and headache and stay here, do not fall for the trap of staying in the beach. Moreover, Jesus and Amay make your stay extremely easy, comfortable and enjoyable. Truly top tier ! My stay at kimpton aluna was perfect. Everyday i enjoyed a light breakfast as part of the buffet we paid for. You can order off the menu if you’re hungry but I never felt it necessary. From there, you can take one of the bikes on sight (complimentary) and go visit the local sights like the beach, the tulum ruins, the national park or the amazing dining options. Everything is within a 20 min walk (max) or 10-15 min bike ride. You can also rent a scooter if you find that convenient, but walking and biking will be your best friends while you’re here. If you’d like nice dining options, there’s something for every meal around the hotel. The food scene in the area is really top tier. If you’d like to go on local adventures, highly recommend you work with Jesus/Amay to book a trip to Chicen Itza using the Easy Tours agency they work with. It was nice and well worth the price. Any other service you may need here (like airport shuttle) is also easiest if you go through Jesus and Amay, they’ve got the hookup. 15 out of 10 stay, tx staff! As far as the room, pool facilities, really really top tier. Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Do NOT waste your money to stay on the beach, you’re not gaining much value and in fact are losing service in exchange for a so so view.

This was the best hotel we stayed at during this trip. The staff is incredible, the hotel is gorgeous, and the food and drinks are top notch. The free happy hour by the pool is a great touch. Visiting in the rainy season could mean some light flooding and not being able to enjoy the rooftop terrace and pool, but it was still 100% worth it.

Great stay at Kimpton Aluna Tulum! Jonathan and Jesus at reception were super friendly and helpful, and Charlie at Parallel restaurant was kind and attentive. The hotel is clean, stylish, and relaxing. Only wish the balconies were more soundproof, as some guests were a bit loud. Overall, loved the service and vibe here!
