Overall, the hotel is lovely in terms of design and cleanliness. I did not interact a lot with staff, but they were fine. I had two primary concerns with my stay here. One is that the parking lot and entry way were in no way cleared of ice. Regular ice, black ice, all the ice. It was extremely treacherous, and the parking lot is hilly, so it really was a recipe for disaster. I know it's the UP of Michigan in the winter, but other businesses I visited had their sidewalks and parking lots cleared MUCH better. If I was with anyone at risk of breaking a bone, I probably would have changed my reservation due to how bad it was. The second issue was with the 6th floor of the hotel, where I stayed. I thought it would be nice and quiet because it was the top floor, so no one walking around above me. Nope! There's a bar on the 6th floor. There is a door between the bar and the rooms, which helps block some of the ambient noise. What it does NOT block, however, is all of the yelling drunk-o's coming back to their rooms and continuing the party until 1AM . That was really awful. Overall, I would stay there again, but not in the winter, and not on the 6th floor.

The Landmark Inn is our favorite place to stay in Marquette. The historic hotel is beautiful, and the spacious rooms are each unique and comfortable. We love the location right downtown on Lake Superior.

Very cute and quaint small town hotel. The lobby is warm and welcoming with lovely lounging, piano and fireplace. The rooms could use some TLC. The beds were super uncomfortable and comparable to what I’d imagine a prison cot to feel like, hard and thin. Room decor was charming and created a boutique feel. The hotel bars were fun and we enjoyed taking advantage of those. The staff was friendly as well.

I love staying at the Landmark Inn. Located in the middle of Marquette’s downtown, only a couple of blocks from maybe the best steak I’ve ever had at Elizabeth’s Chophouse and whatever other “city” stuff we might need while still on the edge of outdoor adventure in all directions. The Landmark Inn is a historic building with all that character but updated with modern travelers in mind. Great good on site and every staff member I’ve met has been friendly and helpful. Oh, and a plug for a pet friendly stay too! Yep, I’ll go back.
