Decent for price

Simple amenities with individual access via outside doors. Had a retro vibe with old school rotary phones, pics of the area and colorful (tiny) coffee pots. Only issue I had was the bed was pretty firm. Breakfast was basic, a couple cereals and tiny muffins. For the money, a decent deal.

Would stay again

There were issues with the room key both at check in and the next night when we returned to our room. Maybe a battery issue they said. Rooms should be checked to make sure the keys will work. Also the lighting in the room was poor and there are not enough towel racks in the bathroom. However the room was clean, staff is nice, and the location is good. We would stay there again.

Room was nice, would have been nice to have a small dresser or spot to place clothes beside the hanging area. Also, we could not access the smart tv functions with the remote in the room.

We did not stay. We couldn’t get our money back but would not stay there. It looked like the beds had been slept in. The sheets and linens were various shades of dirty! I wouldn’t bath without having to scrub the bathroom. Went elsewhere!

This place is from the last century without much updating. The desk person, while well meaning, was not trained or knowledgeable of the room mechanics. Contrary to other pet friendly places I have stayed they mixed the dog owners rooms in with the animal free rooms.

Budget friendly, dated but clean

Family friendly, nice pool, great hot tub. Even a small sauna. The room was ok, obviously dated, but worth it for the price. The AC didn't work great to keep the room cool, which was only an issue for the first day or two. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Cedar Motor Inn

The Cedar Motor Inn in Marquette Michigan was a good hotel for the price. It is located close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is dated but many upgrades were made in our room. It was clean. The continental breakfast was good. Would stay there again.

The staff is always a delight! We were on what appeared to be ‘the old side.’ The side that hasn’t been updated. The rooms were outdated, which wasn’t a deal breaker but they were very dark and the window faces the hallways so unless you like people being able to see your every move, the curtains have to stay shut. There was no clock/alarm clock, the refrigerator wasn’t plugged in but we caught it before our food spent the night in it and the bathroom door is only about 24 inches wide. Someone requiring extra room would be very uncomfortable. The bathroom ceiling had some mildew across it and the room smelled like a dog…it’s a dog friendly hotel so it’s understandable. The carpet made the bottoms of our feet black so we made sure to always wear socks or sandals.
